Moonlight Bangkok

This was once a very fun and entertaining bar. Then, Moonlight took over. Now? It’s boring, non-entertaining and with only one drag performance. She is very good and could entertain us more. The space is not warm, bright lights and bad music. Most of the time, it is young men and ‘models’ parading continuously (on stage) for attention. If they caught your eye (which is very likely with all the naughty winks and licking of lips) you can book them and have them seated with you at your table. If you’re very lucky, maybe a touch of a hand on your thighs. If you’re not,you buy them drinks, the make you buy them more drinks, you get tipsy or drunk, you tip them and blah, blah, blah….

November 1st 2024 . 1st time in BKK. Seen videos of moonlight and definitely needed to go. 500 baht or $14.75 cover charge . No big deal for a Friday night . But $280 baht or $8.00 for a beer and $380 baht or $11.12 for a Sprite !!!!!!! Then they try to have you buy drinks for the performers. Ain't happening at these prices . I love tipping me some hot men , but it was ridiculous. Maybe why there were only 10 people in here on a Friday night. Felt scammed. Again , I believe in taking care of staff at places , not cheap in any way . But this was way beyond . I'll try one of the other spots . The guys were sexy as hell, too bad the cost was insane .

If you are expecting to see a show, you should be there before 2230, that’s when the show start. After that, you will be charged for the same entrance fee which included a drink, but just to see some sort of karaoke show. The singing wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. We went there around 2340 and at the entrance we were asked if we want to see a show. Well it wasn’t wrong but it wasn’t a show that we expected. I guess they only have one show at 2230 (which we found out later on a poster in the toilet that they called special show). After that, it will only be a bunch of gogo boy standing on stage while three singer singing live. At this point, you can have some gogo boy that you like to sit and drink with you. Just have to tell the captain the number of the one you like. But, music was really loud, impossible to talk in there while they are singing.
