Botanica 36 Nails Spa

Not the best manicure I've ever had, and I never really went to fancy nail spa place. So, that says a lot. I do not think it's the fault of the nail technician though, but I think the owner should look into more training, or reduce the price to meet the quality. Throughout the process, no proper cleaning of nails, the way the technician put on the gel is kind of messy, and at the end after last smoothing process the technician right away put on the last layer of polish without clearing up the dust after nail file. The place is nice and the seat were comfortable, but definitely cannot come back just because of those.

I went today for manicure & pedicure with gel, and overall it was a very disappointing experience for a place in this price range. In summary: - they removed cuticles on my toe until I stopped them for the pain, and now is inflamed and uncomfortable - manicure was a complete disaster: the staff cut my nails short and on the wrong shape without asking me (probably because she didn’t speak good English, and so misunderstood) - I left with shape and length of the nails still objectively different between the two hands (but I got tired of telling her and seeing her try to fix, so I decided to let it go and go re-do manicure somewhere else) - I asked for the same gel color that I had when I arrived at the shop, meaning pink, and she put white by mistake (but also in this case I didn’t have other time to waste for her to do it again) - she put two layers of base, and 3 of color + topper, so my nails now are so thick that look fake. I’m giving 2 starts instead of 0 just because the ambience is very nice and the staff were extremely kind, even if not good at their job. The owner was very kind as well as she offered me to have one free manicure next time to compensate for the mistake. Super appreciated and kind touch, but I have zero intention to ever go back!
