Morning kiss

I chose and made an appointment at this salon thinking and hoping that I would have a high end experience. I normally get Russian/e-file dry manicures which is very precise. The booking website I used (fresha.com) listed poly gel extensions as one of the services, so I got that and a spa pedicure with gel polish. They have 2 locations: my appointment was at the second location at Centerpoint Siam on the second floor. Let’s start with the hygiene standards: there were none. They don’t line the pedicure bowls, they use old nail files, and if you’re taller than 5’7, the pedicure chairs are absolutely unbearable. The tech had me soaking in cool water until I brought it to her attention. After an hour of discomfort, I was ready to get out of there! To their credit, the water was changed out and was made warmer. When she pulled out the grater for my heels, I was ready to go. My feet were scrubbed to the point of pain! This pedicure went on forever: Over 2 hours, and 2 techs to finish my pedicure. Before they started my nails, I attempted to explain what I wanted: neat and precise. My nails were filed with the same files used for my pedicure, not an e-file in sight.The finished result after another 2 hours was thick and bulky, not at all what I wanted. All my services totaled 2,570 baht, or so I thought. I wake up to a missed call and messages telling me that the original total was incorrect and that my actual total was 3,580 baht and that I had 1,010 baht left to pay! At this point, there was no way I was going back there, so arrangements were made to send money via PayPal. I picked this place based on customer reviews and services provided. I feel like I've been scammed, because it's just not adding up. It seems customers are offered a discount for positive reviews, which would explain the high rating. I'm hoping by posting this review I can spare some people the agony. I will post updates if any of my toenails fall off.
