Cannabis in Bangkok: what to know

Cannabis in Bangkok is now a medical matter. Under the Ministry of Public Health's 2026 ministerial regulation, cannabis flower may be dispensed only for medical use. Licensed clinics, pharmacies, registered herbal-product shops or certified traditional healers may supply it, and only against a controlled-herb prescription (form PT.33) of up to 30 days, according to the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine.

Online sales, delivery and vending machines are banned. Smoking in public can be an offence. Confirm that any business holds a current licence before you visit.

This page lists cannabis businesses as recorded in our directory. Rules changed, so some listings may have closed or changed what they sell. We do not name any shop here. Call before you go, and ask to see the licence.

Listings cluster where visitors stay. Silom & Sathorn and Khao San have the largest groups. Sukhumvit, Phrom Phong, Asok and Nana come next. Chinatown, Ploenchit and On Nut have smaller groups.

Before you visit:

  • Check that the shop is a licensed clinic, pharmacy or herbal-product shop under the 2026 rules.
  • Expect to show a PT.33 prescription for flower. A legitimate seller will ask for it.
  • Do not order online or by delivery. Both are banned.
  • Do not smoke in public places, and never drive after use.
  • Call first, since some businesses may have closed or changed.

Read our cannabis guide for background on how the rules developed.
