Had an amazing experience at BASE Bangkok Amarin. The reception team was incredibly hospitable. truly a 5-star hotel-level customer service from the moment I walked in. The class itself was very well-programmed and thoughtfully coached. The trainer was engaging, attentive, and made sure everyone understood the movements while keeping the energy high throughout. The amenities were top-notch, spotless, and well-maintained. everything you’d expect from a gym that’s consistently been awarded Best Gym year after year. Huge thank you to Team BASE and Jack for being so hospitable. you’ve built something truly special. A brand that delivers excellence with heart. Will definitely be back when i am visit BKK

I’ve joined BASE since 2018. I’ve been to other functional gyms and Base is my most favorite gym in Bangkok. The classes are well structured according to your needs. Basecamp, the signature class, is a good mix of cardio and strength training while Base Build is great for strength training. All levels of fitness are welcomed as the coaches are very professional and attentive. The location is also a plus. The facilities and shower rooms are great. Above all, the community here is awesome and motivating, no matter it’s Personal Training or group classes. I highly recommended Coach Ohm for hybrid training and Coach Punch for strength training. I read some of 1 star reviews despite the fact of being late to the class - well, being on time is a basic respect which cost you nothing, isn’t it? ;)

Aside from experiencing an elevated workout experience every session, one of the best things about BASE fitness studios is the great sense of community it fosters. I feel like I can turn-up to any BASE class and either meet someone I know or have the opportunity to make a new friend. The vibes are always encouraging whether it be from the front desk, the coaches, or the participants which in turn makes me also what to be encouraging and friendlier—especially to newbies. The new Amarin branch itself is situated in a really nice mall and is easy to get to. I also like how this particularly upscale mall’s design is nicely spaced out and not overcrowded. There’s also an amazing food court one level up from base and a Villa Market on the ground floor! In terms of personal training, I’ve been training with Coach Ohm Wanjai for more than two years. It was his skills and knowledge which really help me to realize a personal athleticism which I never knew existed. From taking the BASE HYROX courses in conjunction with Ohm’s one-on-one HYROX simulations, I found my first competition in Singapore last year to be a lot easier than I expected! Most recently, I decided to focus more on rehabilitation of an old shoulder injury which has been acting up again. I was recommended to another BASE Coach Matt Nantavong after some rave first-person testimonies regarding Mat’s injury prevention and correctional skills. Physiotherapy and rehabilitation exercise is probably the most boring type of workout one can do. However, even from the first session with Matt, I felt like we were making progress in building up my weaker muscles making me feel positive I’ll be back to full strength soon. With regards to the sparse complaints which mainly seems to be from Class Pass visitors being late and rejected to enter classes, all I have to say is that the rules are set for a good reason. If you’re a newbie, you’re supposed to show up earlier so that you can be properly debrief, take your optional photo for the leaderboard, and most importantly so that you can follow the detailed walkthrough of every station by the coach. If you’ve never performed this type of exercise or used equipment like Skierg, Assault Treadmill, Assault Bike, or even kettlebells, you can hurt yourself or someone near you. I’ve been to 100s of BASE classes by now, and I still show up early. I’ve occasionally seen some first-timers who come late and try to get into the class after everyone has been warmed up and debriefed. I don’t know what they expect? For the coach to go over all six stations again and eat into everyone else’s exercise time? So, I guess my end recommendation is if you are going to come to BASE, come on time. Heck, you might as well come a bit earlier and make a new friend.

I booked a Hyrox class this morning and called at 11:08 AM to confirm my branch change to the Amarin location. The staff explicitly confirmed the change. However, I called again at 6:00 PM just to be sure, only to find out my name wasn't on the list and the class was already full. If you're planning to join, be very careful with their unreliable booking system.

Unlike other reviews, my experience here was a complete mess. The class I took overlapped with a previous event, where they were handing out free ice cream and food, making the space overcrowded, chaotic, and noisy. This delayed the start of my class and completely threw off my expectations. Meanwhile, people from the earlier session were still hanging around, eating, chatting, and creating a distraction. To make things worse, the class structure was all over the place—the speaker wasn’t loud enough, and it felt like a freestyle session where members just did whatever they wanted, debating their own variations instead of following the agreed workout flow. Honestly, it was a total shitshow. : )
