Cute bowls, plates, cups and saucers. Some can be pricey but they did mention that most (or all not sure) are individually unique cause it’s handmade. Very touristy area so it’s crowded!

Clay Circle is a hidden gem in the trendy Songwat neighborhood, perfect for anyone looking to escape the bustle of Bangkok’s Old Town for a few hours of tactile creativity. Originally established in Sam Yan (Block 28), this newer Songwat outpost serves as both a boutique retail shop and a pottery studio. The Atmosphere The space is incredibly warm and "cozy-minimalist." It captures the historic, slow-life vibe of Songwat Road perfectly. Large windows let in plenty of natural light, illuminating shelves filled with handmade ceramics—everything from textured coffee mugs and delicate vases to quirky decorative pieces. It feels less like a sterile classroom and more like a creative sanctuary. The Experience (Workshops) If you’re looking to get your hands dirty, they offer a variety of classes: • Wheel Throwing: A meditative (and challenging!) experience where instructors guide you through the 6 steps of forming clay on a spinning wheel. • Hand Building: Perfect for beginners or those who want to sculpt more organic, irregular shapes like plates or small figurines using coiling and pinching techniques. • Painting/Glazing: For those who want the fun of decorating without the technicality of shaping the clay. What Makes it Stand Out • Instructor Quality: The staff are known for being patient, encouraging, and highly proficient in English, making it a popular spot for both locals and expats. • Walk-in Friendly (Retail): Even if you don't have time for a 2-hour workshop, the shop is worth a visit. Their "Songwat Collection" often features pieces inspired by the neighborhood's unique heritage. • The "Slow" Vibe: Unlike some of the more commercial pottery studios in Bangkok, Clay Circle feels intimate. It’s a great "date move" or a solo "healing" activity. Tips for Visiting • Booking: Workshops fill up fast, especially on weekends. It’s highly recommended to book via their Instagram or website in advance. • Location: It’s located at 1176 Songwat Road. You can easily pair a visit here with a coffee at nearby Pieces Café & Bed or a stroll through the local art galleries. • Finished Pieces: Remember that if you make a piece, it needs to be fired in the kiln, which usually takes 3–4 weeks. They can arrange for local shipping once it's ready. Overall: Whether you’re a serious hobbyist or just looking for a unique souvenir from your day in Songwat, Clay Circle offers a beautifully curated experience that celebrates the "beauty of imperfection."
