Local Thai Restaurant

Local Thai Restaurant is a small open-air Thai eatery in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung district, Pattaya, on Sukhumvit Beach Road at Soi 13. It serves home-style Thai food in a casual local setting.

The kitchen cooks curries, stir-fries and fried rice. Fried rice and stir-fried pork with kale are simple dishes cooked in the local style. The dining room has no air conditioning. It has a 4.8 Google rating from about 140 reviews (October 2026).

The restaurant is in Pattaya, not in Bangkok, so allow time to travel by road from the city. Because the room is open-air, hot or rainy weather affects comfort, so a cooler hour may suit you better. Call before a long trip to confirm that the kitchen is open.
