Pet Services in Khao San, Bangkok includes two animal hospitals at the time of writing, one across the river towards Pinklao. The old quarter is a tourist area, so most vets here serve residents of the nearby neighbourhoods.
Getting there: no BTS line serves Khao San. MRT Sam Yot is about a 20-minute walk. The Chao Phraya Express boat to Phra Arthit pier (N13) is the other route.
Among the places listed at the time of writing (October 2026) are SLV Pet Hospital and Arun Animal Hospital Pinklao, the second on the Pinklao side of the river.
Before you choose: call ahead to learn whether a vet is on duty at night, because an old-town taxi ride with a sick pet is a poor time to find out. With a pet in a carrier, a taxi or Grab is easier than a river boat in the rain.
