I went in the evening and enjoyed a simple cocktail or beer while taking in the beautiful Wat Arun view. It’s definitely a spot designed for tourists or couples. I was a bit surprised that a draft beer was 360 THB per glass, but honestly, the view makes it worth it. For a view like that, you really can’t complain.

The real star here is the view of Wat Arun across the river. It is a great place to sit and admire the view. We sat on the second floor, which was more open to the outside but still inside. Other floors and areas were indoors with good air con. Food choices are very local food heavy with some pizzas, but we are in Thailand!!! The food is good and tasty. Drinks cold and refreshing. Staff are very friendly and attentive. It's not a cheap place by Bangkok standards, but it's worth it for the view. I can see it being very busy here at sunset and evening with the view and would recommend a visit at any time purely for the view.

Overall not bad but not great either. The reason I came here was to check-in to my hotel called Chetuphon Gate which is a short walk down the road. The hotel is excellent. The owners of the two establishments are the same. I like the surrounding area. It's a good spot for taking photographs of Wat Arun across the river. The area can be very peaceful after the tourists leave. There are some nice old Thai-Chinese wooden houses along the narrow lanes nearby. Some of the elderly residents still live in these homes. One star for service due to the bad attitude of one of the girls who stands at the entrance / reception. She's impatient and not very accommodating when we were waiting for our taxi to pick us up after checking out. Not a very pleasant attitude for someone who works in hospitality. Not sure if she still works here though. You can see her in the photograph attached here under the Amorosa sign. You get this bad attitude all over Thailand - probably due to being bored and uninterested by seeing so many tourists - service people just don't give a damn anymore.
