Banh Mi & Pho Saigon

I'm a huge fan of pho, and have visited Vietnam many times, so I was excited to try this place out. The day before, I tried Dan Dan noodle which is directly opposite, so this review does contain an inevitable comparison. Whilst the shredded chicken pho wasn't an unpleasant bowl of noodles, it certainly wasn't a great pho. It didn't have and of the depth of flavor you'd expect, nor did it have any of the lovely peppery hit that a proper pho delivers. A few other issues that I had include massive amounts of thickly cut raw onion, lots of inedible lemon grass, and poor quality chicken. The shredded chicken from Dan Dan was excellent, no fat, just pure shredded chicken breast. Here, I discarded nearly half of my chicken as it was either flabby skin, or gristle. I also had to add a lot of the accompanying chilli and sauces to get a big flavor return. I will return to give the banh mi a try, but for noodles, I'll head to Dan Dan for sure.

This is the worst bun mi I ever had. The meat is horrible and I also order chicken soup. They already put black pepper in the soup. The spring roll is horrible. Worst place. Please don't order from here. The soup is so so horrible. Egg rolls is horrible too

Beef Pho was good and good Vietnamese coffee. But the bahn mi was okay. The flavored the pork in the bahn mi was good, but the bread is not crispy and there is very little filling, I felt like I was eating air.
