Kodtalay The Riverfront Seafood Buffet

Felt like a small seafood carnival set right along the river. The moment you walk in, the place radiates that relaxed Bangkok riverside charm while tables fill with mountains of fresh seafood. Their biggest strength is freshness. Live seafood sits in aquariums that staff constantly refill, and you can pick from an impressive lineup ready for grilling. There are also frozen options and a wide selection of meats if you want to mix things up at the grill. The sashimi station was clearly a crowd favorite with a long line almost the entire time, which says a lot about the quality. Sadly, I made the tactical mistake of coming here after already eating two meals earlier that day, so my stomach surrendered long before the buffet did. I barely scratched the surface and didn’t even manage to try the sashimi. Beyond the seafood and grill section, there is a good spread of cooked dishes, drinks, ice cream, and desserts. The cooked food was decent but clearly not the star compared to the seafood and grilled meats. Still, with the riverside atmosphere and the sheer variety of fresh options, Kodtalay is easily one of the top reasons I would come back to Bangkok.

One of the best riverfront seafood buffets I’ve had in Thailand! 🌊🦐 Fresh seafood, great variety, and beautiful riverside atmosphere at Kodtalay Riverfront. The grilled prawns and river prawns were especially impressive — sweet, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The view during sunset makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality seafood with a relaxing riverfront vibe. Definitely coming back!

This is a popular seafood restaurant that clearly caters to international guests. There are a few steps and rules to follow before dining, which can feel a bit much at first but it’s understandable given how crowded the place gets. The food selection is impressive, with multiple stations and a wide variety of dishes. Everything we tried was delicious, and they’re definitely not stingy with portions. The riverside view is absolutely beautiful, and I highly recommend choosing a seat by the river , open air, fresh breeze, and stunning scenery. If you sit in the tented area, be aware that when it’s full, the smoke from the grills can build up and become overwhelming at times. That’s why riverside seating is definitely the better choice. It’s a great place to go with a group of friends , fun, filling, and full of variety. Drinks like beer and coconut water are extra, but everything else is refillable and there’s a good selection. I’d happily return but next time, it’s riverside seats for me!
