Black Amber Barber Shop (Thonglor Branch)

Stopped by Black Amber in Thonglor and got the full service. Haircut, beard work, the whole experience. Everything was really good from start to finish. The shop has that clean, classic barbershop vibe but still feels modern and professional. Staff was attentive, detail oriented, and took their time instead of rushing through it. The cut came out exactly how I wanted it. Beard was shaped up properly, lines clean, no shortcuts. You can tell they care about their craft. If you’re in Thonglor and want a proper grooming session, not just a quick trim, this is the spot. Would definitely go back next time I’m in Bangkok.

Great shop! Calm and clean with skilled barbers. Made an appointment, was easy. Was offered a whisky soda for arriving a bit early. (Class) Got my chair right on time after finishing my drink and left the shop with a slick new look. Easy to find and can chill outside if you need to wait. Will be back, thanks Hugo.

The barbers at Black Amber are true masters—sharp, impeccably dressed, and full of professional energy. From the second I reached out via WhatsApp to the moment I walked out the door, the service was absolutely flawless. I visited on Jan 19th 12pm for a full session with a Senior Barber: haircut, shampoo, beard grooming, and styling. Honestly? If you only get a haircut here, you’re missing out on the full experience. The atmosphere is like stepping into another dimension. The retro leather sofas, massive mirrors, and impeccable cleanliness create a classic 'Gentleman’s Club' vibe. Now I highly recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early just to soak it in. I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome and a glass of whiskey & water (you can also choose tea, coffee, or juice), which is a great touch. I came in after a long period of traveling with messy, long hair and a wild, unkempt beard. 🎩 My barber was a perfectionist 🎩 He spent nearly 1.5 hours working masterfully mostly using only scissors, with incredible precision and dedication. I could literally close my eyes and feel completely safe in the hands of a hair artist. 💆🏽‍♂️ The shampoo session with the head massage was pure bliss, followed by the traditional hot towel shave which was the ultimate treat. It felt like a combination of a top-tier barbershop and a luxury spa. I walked in looking like a tired traveler and walked out feeling like a king.
