Great spot, very good drinks. Sound system is very good and makes for an amazing listening experience. Bar staff were friendly and attentive. It is a bit of a luck of the draw in terms of the atmosphere - when other guests were respecting the rules (limited/quiet talk only) it was great, but when loud ones came in it does affect the experience. If you’re planning to go - treat it like what it is - a listening bar!

Really nice service and a great concept/experience. They know what they are doing. We found the non-alcoholic cocktail interesting and tasty. If I had to nitpick: it would be great to see more vegan options or snacks, and to cover the glass and walls opposite the speakers with curtains or acoustic panels to improve the sound. That said, the place is already wonderful, and we really hope it continues to thrive

You can feel that this is not just a bar, but a carefully curated space with a clear identity. The cocktails are excellent: well-balanced, creative, and crafted with great finesse. Nothing feels rushed or excessive; each drink is elegant and considered. The music selection deserves special mention as well. As a true listening bar, the music sets the tone perfectly—present, meaningful, and enriching the experience without ever overpowering conversation. The staff completes the picture. Friendly, attentive, calm, and professional, they create a sense of genuine hospitality that fits seamlessly into the overall vibe of the place. You feel welcome and well taken care of, without any pressure. One small note that may be helpful especially for European guests: the cocktails are intentionally light and refined. Even after several drinks, the effect remains very subtle, which aligns beautifully with the relaxed and mindful concept of the bar. However, visitors used to stronger pours in Europe might notice that the alcohol content feels lower. This is not a flaw, but rather a conscious stylistic choice—and it helps to know this in advance to set expectations accordingly. Overall, Freaking Up the Neighborhood is an outstanding cocktail and listening bar with soul, taste, and character. It’s a place you visit not only for the drinks, but for the entire experience—and one you’ll gladly return to.
