Independence Cocktail Bar

What a lovely bar we stumbled upon, and such delicious drinks. Highly recommend trying the flight of Sato (rice wine). Bar played really good music too, mix of house and Thai funky tracks. Wanted to buy back 2 bottles of #7 rice wine but realised I had no check in luggage what a shame 😭

The front of the shop might not look particularly inviting, or it might not even appear to be a cocktail bar if you haven’t searched for it on Google beforehand. But what makes this not-so-secret speakeasy worth discovering is the distinctive flavor profile of their drinks, which blend beautifully with the local culture of Isan. There’s a softness yet clarity to its identity. I think this place presents the essence of the region quite well.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Came here to try Sato, a local rice wine, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Nutch and Kwan were very helpful in guiding selections and passionate about sharing their knowledge about the products. Will 100% come back again with more friends!
