No-frills massage shop near Khao San Road with notably strong-handed therapists. The foot massage extends up to the lower legs and finishes with neck and head work. A straightforward, effective place to decompress after a long day walking the old city.

We can recommend Kanya Massage. Me and my sister, we were here half an hour ago and had a foot massage with tiger balm. Our feet are like new. We will definitely come back and try pedicure/thai massage as well. Thank you, Poo and Nui :) Greetings from Germany.

After a very early flight, we were very happy to find this place. My partner and I were both pretty done from travelling but this has given us new life. Service was lovely! Oil massage was great! I'd come back here next time we're in the city for sure!

Negative Reviews
I chose this place because it had a much higher rating (around 4.8) than most of the massage places nearby, which often feel like tourist traps. Unfortunately, my experience here was even worse. The massage was extremely disappointing. My therapist clearly did not know how to massage properly — the technique was very poor and unprofessional. At one point it was so bad that I almost started laughing. She also left me lying on my back with bright spotlights shining directly into my face without even offering an eye cover, which made it very uncomfortable and not relaxing at all. Maybe this place has such a high rating because they also do nails, but if you are coming specifically for a massage, I would not recommend it.

I had PVC nails placed on Wednesday and by Saturday morning 6 of the nails have already broken off. When the first one fell off on Thursday, I assumed I was being too rough with handling items in my regular day of activities and got it replaced at another salon (left index finger). This salon did a far better job of securing the PVC nail and aligning it to my nail bed. More nails fell off that evening and the following day. I’m sensitive about getting my nails done as the nail beds are small from years of a nail biting habit when I was younger, and I told the nail technician at Kanya that I would need the PVC extensions to be shorter than usual to adjust for what would look aesthetically pleasing for my hands. This seemed to really stump her - she struggled to file my nails into an oval shape and I had to ask for corrections in multiple places. She also did not cut back my cuticles and placed the PVC nails below them - this looks unnatural, not suited to the actual full size of my nail beds. I don’t typically post negative reviews but this really was tremendously disappointing — I have to get these fully redone just four days later. ** EDIT: I do appreciate the response from Kanya's owner. I don't expect a refund for this service. The nail technician who was working on my nails was very kind and professional, and I was her last appointment of the day. I simply would appreciate some notification to customers if nail technicians don't feel confident to meet the request made of them, or are in training. I would have likely still gone ahead with the service even if I was told this. I would feel differently about the outcome though.
