Terrible experience at this bar! They didn’t inform us about the prices in advance, and the staff struggled with communication. The cost per person was much higher than what others had mentioned in reviews. There’s a 100-per-person entry fee, plus a 10% service charge and 7% tax. It was apparent that your staff could not communicate effectively in understandable English or Japanese. Yet, instead of acknowledging this communication barrier, you shifted all the blame onto us, the customers, due to the staff’s inability to communicate smoothly. Having lived in English-speaking countries for many years, I can assure you that when we placed our order, there was no mention of any additional charges or changes to the drinks. Immediately after ordering, the menu was taken away, so we had no opportunity to see any supposed English explanations since we no longer had access to the menu. Under these circumstances, how were we supposed to verify the prices directly? We ordered one soft drink priced at 140B and two sodas priced at 50B each. However, when it came time to pay, we were informed that we were being charged for three soft drinks at 140B each. We have already made a compromise on this matter. I must reiterate that this is not about the amount charged; if you had priced each drink at 300B, we would have been willing to pay. In fact, we often visit niche shops to experience cultural atmospheres and are certainly not people who try to take advantage of small gains. However, your actions continually misled us, and it was only at checkout that we learned about the actual charges. I simply hope that you would at least inform customers of your pricing system at the very beginning, rather than constantly shirking responsibility and ultimately making the customer pay far more than the actual price of the ordered items.
