LUXX Silom (Bangkok)

The hotel has no lift! The wifi does not work The room we were first offered was small and dark, and not like in the photos. We asked for a different room as we booked a suite. we were offered a room in the top floor. This room was larger, but the wifi signal did not reach the room, so we had to be in the lobby to use the internet. We booked the suite because we wanted a bath tub. but the bath tub was full of hair, old and dirty. Also the bathtub leaked which meant you could not fill the tub and actually have a bath. We complained but the lady in reception only spoke Mandarin and it was difficult to complain.

It's fine. The photos we see online make it look a bit swankier than it really is. A little worn at the edges - funky wooden bathtub is cool but slightly manky looking grouting around the edges; banging water pump makes a huge racket for those rooms right near it. Rooms are clean, comfortable, safe, decent.

My room is old and dusty, and not taken care of. They have nice wooden floors and doors, but its not taken care of. It feels dirty and damp. The shower is broken, its sprayed all over the floor. My room and hallway smells like stale cigarette smoke. They save cost at night by not turning on the air conditioning in the hallway, hot and smelly. I could have found a better hotel with this price. Suitable for smokers.
