Mahaniyom Cocktail Bar

Loved this speakeasy. The drinks were unique, tasty, well balanced and some of the best we had in Thailand. We tried 3 cocktails each and had 2 small bites because we wanted to try it all! The atomosphere was great and the staff were helpful in making recommendations to us. Would love to come again the next time I'm in Bangkok. Thank you for a wonderful time!

My new favourite bar in Bangkok: no gimmicks, just good drinks and friendly mixologists who are passionate about their craft. I love the concept for V4 of their menu, where they pick a single produce (i.e. tamarind) and design a cocktail using various derivatives of that produce—so you get ingredients like tamarind gin mare, tamarind cordial, and tamarind seed tea in their Tamarind cocktail. It showcases nice techniques without going overboard with the flavours. The ambience is excellent—soft lighting with just loud enough jazzy music to fill the room without interrupting conversations. Sitting at the bar, the attentive bartenders never let my water glasses and snack dish get empty. Pity I couldn’t try all of the cocktails I wanted during my visit, so I can only genuinely recommend Tamarind, Banana, and Worm. But I will definitely be back to try Cow (and if they ever bring Duck back, it’s on my list).

Stepping into this bar was such a great surprise. The space is beautifully designed – warm, intimate and welcoming. The lighting is soft but carefully done, just bright enough for great photos, and the seating is really comfortable so you can actually relax and stay a while. The menu is full of creative drinks using very interesting ingredients, to the point that it was honestly hard to choose because everything sounded exciting and made me curious to try more. The staff are another highlight – super cool, professional, and always checking in to ask about our experience and get feedback. If my friends from Vietnam visit Bangkok, this is definitely one of the first places I’ll recommend.
