From the minute we walked in we felt welcomed and very comfortable. The staff were very professional, attentive and full of knowledge. The natural wine selection was very impressive, we had two different ones by recommendations. Both were accurate to our tasting. Was a pleasure to talk and drink!

Perfect sommelier heaven On my visit, I savored an ambitious lineup: Duck, tender beef, crisp-fried Brussels sprouts punched up by blue cheese and citrus; velvety chicken liver parfait; luxurious Iberico croquettes bursting with pork richness; and a precise steak tartare, boldly seasoned yet refined. Washed down with several Aperol spritzes made with vibrant fruit sparkling wine, each dish showcased chef-driven creativity, blending global techniques, ideal for sharing. Portions strike a smart balance, pricing remains reasonable (290-500 THB per plate), and the food-wine synergy is impeccable—unpretentious service elevates it further. Mod Kaew stands tall among Bangkok’s elite wine bars, delivering memorable, harmonious evenings without excess. A must for discerning palates.

Nice little wine bar with a sprinkle of wicked humour, focussing on natural wines. There is both an indoor and outdoor area, both very pleasant. They have a very small selection of wines by the glass, and a much larger selection of bottles that you can chose from by, well, looking at the bottles. There is no wine list, so you either need to take your time to decipher all the labels or perhaps ask for a recommendation. The bottles in the main room all have the price written on them so you won't have to worry about unpleasant surprises. I had my fair share of natural wine but still saw lots and lots of unknown labels. With regards to the food: good but could be better. The oysters were fresh and delicious, and the other dishes while tasty were surprisingly under-seasoned, so definitely more suited to a western palate. Recommended.
