This is one of those places I usually end up at when I’m starving after work, mainly because the portions here are pretty generous. The menu is a fun mix of normal comfort food and some surprisingly weird items (ramen takoyaki?! 😂). They’ve got both rice dishes and ramen, and the regular menu items are solid—tasty and definitely filling. The shop itself is a bit small, but that actually adds to the charm and makes it feel like you’re eating at a casual local spot in Japan. One big highlight is the beer. It’s really cheap—honestly, probably some of the cheapest you’ll find around Silom. That makes this place great whether you’re here for a proper meal or just for food and drinks after work. Other drinks and some menu items can be a bit pricier, but considering the portion sizes, it still feels worth it. The staff are super friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Fun fact: the uncle who owns the place often appears as a supporting actor in movies and commercials. You might even spot him hanging out at the cashier.

Good for those who are looking for Japanese dishes from various locations in Japan, from Hokkaido in the North to Okinawa in the South. Day time of Sat- Sun is good, no customers. For lunch and dinner on weekdays, customers are those company staff working around here. I tried gyoza and yakisoba, (shio taste)with bacon and crispy garlic. It was good. Food came out fast. Oolong tea with ice could went along with my food choice well. Music was of the 90's all Japanese songs. Yuzu sherbet is a must after the meal. Please order it. Lots of Picture menu and explanations in English on the wall. Price is avarage. Quality and volume of food are good.

Check out this incredible bowl of ramen. You ever seen chashu like this? Pork this thick should be in a rap video. Char-grilled chashu, juicy smokey, and rich. Egg noodles just this side of al-dente, perfectly chewy but nowhere near chalky. The shoyu miso broth was... Shoyu-y and miso-y in even proportion. Sorry, I'm no ramen expert. I just looked for the thumbs up sign and pointed confidently and I was not disappointed. I can tell you it was both light and filling. Tangy, savory, and deeply satisfying. The restaurant is owned and operated by Suzuki Norio who left a life as a sarariman in Japan to become an actor and chef. The walls of this wood paneled noodle house are covered in autographed photos of Suzuki-san with actors such as the late Michael Clarke Duncan and Game of Thrones actor Michiel Huisman, and inexplicably, cartoons of the actor/chef as a tomato or an octopus. In his own words: “Dreams Aren’t Meant for Looking at” This ramen isn't either.
