After a long flight from Europe, I was looking for a high-quality massage close to where I was staying, in the Ari neighborhood. The place is easy to reach on foot from my hostel, so I decided to try it and chose the first treatment on the menu: a 1-hour massage including a foot massage (45 minutes) and head and shoulders (15 minutes) for 750 THB (around €20). I always check reviews before booking, and this spa had excellent ones. I can now say I was not disappointed at all. Yes, it is more expensive than the typical Thai massage places you can find nearby, but honestly, you would never get something of this quality for that price in France. The place itself is beautiful, a little oasis in the middle of a busy city. Everything is clean and well maintained. The staff speak some English and are very respectful, no phone calls during the massage, no loud conversations. You are welcomed with a cold drink, the air conditioning is comfortable, you remove your shoes and they provide a clean pair for you. The toilets are also spotless. There is soft jazz background music, played at just the right volume, and you have your own private cabin, which really adds to the feeling of calm and intimacy. This is clearly not a cheap, rushed massage experience, but a thoughtful and well-designed one. The massage itself was a very authentic Thai massage. I especially appreciated that the therapist respected my request for a gentler pressure. It helped a lot with blood circulation after a long flight and deeply relaxed my head and shoulders. Seeing the care she put into the head work, I would actually recommend choosing a longer head massage next time. The treatment ends with a small refreshment, a hot drink and some sweets, which is a lovely final touch. Payment is easy, either by cash or card at the front desk. I would absolutely recommend this place and would happily come back.

I recently visited MYTH Apothecary Spa after reading several positive reviews and seeing the elegant photos online. The place definitely looks impressive — from the moment you step inside, you can tell that a lot of care and attention has gone into creating a calm, luxurious atmosphere. The reception area is beautifully decorated, the aroma in the air is relaxing, and the staff greets you with warmth and professionalism. Everything about the environment says “high-end,” and in that regard, the spa absolutely delivers. I decided to try their Siamese Massage, which is one of their signature treatments and also one of the most expensive on the menu. The total cost was 1,500 baht for 90 minutes, which is quite high compared to most massage places in Thailand. Still, I was curious to see whether the experience would justify the price. The massage itself was good — relaxing, clean, and professional. The therapist clearly knew what she was doing and maintained excellent technique throughout the session. However, in terms of the actual massage experience, it didn’t feel drastically different from the traditional Thai massages I’ve had elsewhere during my trip. I’ve been in Thailand for about ten days and have been getting massages almost every day, so I’ve had plenty to compare it to. The Siamese Massage at MYTH felt like a standard Thai massage with a few small extras — some oil, smoother transitions between techniques, and maybe a bit more attention to detail in the stretching and pressure points. But overall, it wasn’t an experience that stood out dramatically from the rest. What really sets this place apart is the setting and the facilities, not the massage itself. Everything is spotless — the rooms are comfortable, the sheets smell fresh, the lighting is soft and relaxing, and every corner of the spa feels perfectly maintained. You can tell this is a 5-star environment, and you’re paying for that. The location also plays a big part: it’s in a premium area where everything tends to cost more, and that’s clearly reflected in the pricing. If what you’re looking for is a luxury spa experience with a high level of comfort and top-notch service, then MYTH Apothecary Spa is a great choice. You’ll feel pampered and relaxed in a beautiful setting. But if what you really care about is just getting an excellent massage, you can easily find something very similar elsewhere for a third of the price. So while I did enjoy my time here and left feeling relaxed, I can’t say the massage itself was worth the premium cost. It’s a nice experience overall, but in my opinion, 1,500 baht for this treatment is simply too much.
