Nine Spa

The worst experience today. Therapist Ken asked for 500 baht extra after the entire massage experience WITHOUT letting me know ahead of time. This is on top of the minimum tip of 1000 baht which I paid for prior. We started at 2:15PM and ended at 3:00PM. THIS IS MY LAST AT THIS SPA AND WITH THAT THERAPIST. For their future clients: make Sure to clear and set the expectations in the beginning so you wont have to experience what i did.

Mr. Nin’s massage was excellent. It was one of the best massages I have ever had in Bangkok. However, sadly, there is a thief at this spa. 5,000 THB was stolen from me by someone other than Mr. Nin. Mr. Nin was very polite and even told me where he works part-time, so I trust him. I believe the thief was another therapist. Before coming to the spa, I withdrew cash from an ATM at CentralWorld. I withdrew 1,900 THB and went straight to the spa. Before the treatment, I paid the massage fee and tip by credit card. After the treatment, I wanted to give Mr. Nin an extra tip in cash. At that moment, I noticed my cash had decreased. I keep my cash in a red pouch inside a black body bag. I usually do not close the zipper of the red pouch. However, this time the zipper was closed. This felt strange, so I counted my money and found that 5,000 THB was missing. When I arrived at the spa, I left my bag on a sofa in the entrance lobby and went upstairs to use the restroom. I was away for about 6 minutes. Leaving my bag was my mistake, but it was at waiting sofa area inside the spa, so I felt safe. I believe the money was stolen during this time. After the massage, I reported the theft to the manager and the owner. The manager showed me the inside of Mr. Nin’s bag and insisted that the staff was not responsible. I never suspected Mr. Nin and said clearly that I believed another therapist was responsible, but they denied this. At first, the manager said he would go to the police with me. However, when I seriously asked to do so, he refused. I don’t know why. I also sent a LINE message to the owner and requested the security camera footage from the waiting area. He told that there was no camera installed there. Because Mr. Nin’s personality and massage were so wonderful, this experience was very disappointing. I have traveled to Thailand many times, and this is the first time I have been a victim of a crime. I was very shocked. Everyone, please always keep your valuables with you at this spa!
