About
Okinawa Kinjo in On Nut serves Japanese cuisine with Okinawan influences, offering traditional dishes. The restaurant provides accessible Japanese dining in a neighborhood setting.
The restaurant specializes in Japanese cuisine with regional Okinawan elements. Patrons find Okinawa Kinjo in On Nut, serving authentic Japanese food in a casual dining environment.
Okinawa Kinjo on On Nut serves authentic Okinawan-Japanese food in a space that feels like an izakaya rather than polished restaurant. The goya champuru (bitter melon stir-fry) is the calling card—famous, approachable, the kind of Okinawan comfort food that requires confidence to execute—and So-ki Soba (stewed pork bone noodles) offers uniqueness beyond standard Japanese noodle repertoire. Portions run genuinely large, pricing reasonable, and both set meals and a la carte ordering mean flexibility. The Okinawan Shoyu Pork carries serious flavor.

Feel like eating in Japan. Good food, not crazy prices, excellent service. My favorite menus are stewed pork and sushi set. If you look for a relaxing place for a real Japanese taste, i recommend this place.

I visited this place during the Bangkok Friday rush hour (03/10/25), tired and hungry. I found it on Hungry Hub, so my girlfriend and I decided to book a table. The parking situation could have been better if customers travelling by car were informed in advance, but since there’s an underground parking lot right before the restaurant, it wasn’t an issue. From the moment I walked in, the Okinawan street-style atmosphere hit me straight away — the scent, the furniture, and the decorations all blended perfectly. The building itself is rather old, and while a few corners looked a bit dark and worn, it was still clean and up to standard. It’s a little cramped, but their efficient table layout makes good use of the space. We sat on the second floor, Japanese-style on the tatami floor, with surprisingly comfortable floor chairs with backrests. The menu is huge! I was honestly overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. Luckily, the staff member taking care of our table, Khun Tawan (ตะวัน), was incredibly helpful, polite, and patient with us. We ended up letting him choose the dishes for us, and he took the time to explain each one, from the flavours to the ingredients. I couldn’t have asked for better service. A big thank you to him for his hospitality, it really made this restaurant a new go-to spot for me, and I’ll happily recommend it to others. All in all, a solid 4.5 stars from me, with an unquestionable 10/10 for service. Thank you again, Khun Tawan, for a wonderful evening!

Authentic Okinawa foods restaurant. Love its set meals with large portions and reasonable prices. Stir fried Bitter melon(Go-ya champuru) is the most famous Okinawa foods and it's a must-try item. You can order ala carte or set meal. So-ki Soba noodle is another unique dish which is different from classic Japanese Soba noolde or Ramen. You should try this too as it is difficult to find it in other Japanese restaurant.
