Beautiful view, but a tricky pricing policy where 17% is added to all items on the menu. This is in small print at the bottom of the menu. Is not highlighted to customers when ordering. When questioned, staff replied that it was management policy and agreed that it would be more transparent to include in the price, but had no flexibility. Staff agreed that it could be more prominent and pointed out to customers, as presently prices are presented to appear lower than reality. Claimed that this practice was standard all over Thailand- Not true. My own hotel for example, a major brand, notes that menu prices are already inclusive of 7%tax and 10% service charge. Such practices of including additional, almost hidden) charges is common in less reputable businesses in tourist areas. Positive, beautiful view. But cocktail was average and quite small with no nuts etc on the side. Staff not very aware of menu and cocktails in general. Staff chatting amongst themselves. Service did not reflect the price. A transparent pricing policy where a cocktail is priced at 410 Bt instead of 350 Bt and later to be discovered, inflated to 409 Bt would have changed the review. There are much better rooftop bars in town. Will not visit again.
