I have enjoyed quite some traditional Thai massages in Thailand, this was not one of them. There was no massaging motion involved whatsoever, just poking in different places in the muscles. Using painful amounts of pressure on delicate parts of the skull like the temples and back of the neck and even elbows to the neck. At one point I was catching knees straight to the shin and full pressure downward on top of my knee. Big muscles like back- and leg muscles barely got any attention while several joints in the knees and shoulders got pressured and strained to a painful point. On top of that there was no balm or oil used, just dry skin to dry skin. Apparently traditionally there is no oil used, but many places do and there was no information available about this and it was unpleasant. Normally I love my massage very tough, you can roll me over with a bulldozer and I'll have a blast. I came here because of the good reviews but left this particular parlour more strained and sore than I entered.
