Urai Braised Goose

Come before 9.30 am to get a queqe number before the outlet opens at 10 am. Q number issuance stopped at 10.10 am on the day we were there. Simple no fuss fare focusses on what the owner does best - braised goose and meat ball soup. Authentic special chilli to go with the goose too.

Delicious braised goose with rich, flavorful gravy. The food came out quite quickly, which was great. We were lucky to get a seat right away when we arrived, although the restaurant was busy the entire time. We ordered a medium portion to eat there and also bought half a goose to take home. However, the bill was mistakenly charged as a full goose. One small downside was that there was some trash on the floor near our table, probably left by previous customers. It made the area feel slightly less clean than it could have been. Overall the food was very good, but it’s a good idea to double-check the bill when the staff comes to collect payment.

Urai Braised Goose is a well-known local eatery in the Song Wat area. The braised goose is tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with their rich herbal soy-based sauce. The meat is not greasy and pairs really well with rice. A great spot for traditional Thai-Chinese comfort food. Highly recommended if you’re exploring this historic neighborhood.
