Wallflowers Upstairs

We came for a drink shortly before they closed so I can't rate the food however the vibe was very chill & very cool. Definitely a place for a date. The various tables on the different floors as we climbed up to the rooftop area was very unique.

Great concept for a roof bar restaurant. Loved the eclectic mix of vintage furniture, whimsical lighting and quirky accents, along with many plants. Cocktails were good, but at the higher side of Bangkok pricing. Two comfort shortfalls led us to have a cocktail then head elsewhere for dinner. The seating was quite cramped and very uncomfortable and/or in quite bad repair. It was also very hot with limited air circulation, even in cool season. There were a few ineffective fans but they were in short supply and not directed at seating. Too bad because the staff were good even though they were spread thin, and the vibe of the place is quite nice.

I’ve been coming to Wallflowers for years and the vibe was always unmatched and the food delicious. To my dismay they’ve recently changed their chef and changed the entire menu and raised the prices. The food was decent but definitely not worth the price. It’s a crazy decision of the management not to keep the best selling items from the previous menu, which made people come again and again. I don’t think I’ll ever come back to eat here - I’m very disappointed because it was my favourite restaurant in Bangkok. Definitely worth to come for a drink though so I’ll leave four stars.
