Akara Bangkok

Akara is a lovely hotel located just a couple of km from Sukhumvit and other touristy areas. The room was very well stocked and nicely done up. The staff were super polite and helpful. We only stayed a night as we were flying out late night the next day. We checked out of the room and spent the day at Ayutthaya when we returned we were offered a shower in the hotel even though we had officially checked out. Really thoughtful of the staff. The breakfast buffet is mostly thai food with some eggs, toast and coffee on offer as well. Highly recommend.

I came with no expectations because it's my first time in a 5 star and I don't follow social media influencers. I've had such a lovely time. Hotel is chic, clean and beautiful. Staff are wonderful, so polite and helpful. Food is delicious. Rooftop views are great although I don't drink so I can't comment on the bar. I was surprised with an unexpected birthday treat on my arrival. Gym is excellent. Breakfast is varied and delicious. A wonderful experience which I highly recommend to everyone. Thank you to the Akara staff for taking good care of me ☺️

We checked in after arriving from Chiang Mai and were already impressed the moment the door opened — the hotel’s signature fragrance welcomed us instantly and the whole place carried a lovely old-money charm. Our first impression at the check-in counter was great; the staff were friendly, approachable and made us feel at ease right away. Throughout our stay, they were always just a call away and attended promptly to our requests for extra amenities. The pool was clean and offered a beautiful view, making it a relaxing spot to unwind. The housekeeping staff also propped up our electronic tablet and colouring book for our use once we came back into our toom. Oh, it was also nice that they have a complimentary tuktuk shuttle service to Phaya Thai station upon request. Even during checkout, the service remained exceptional — the bellboy, Rich, was kind enough to carefully help carry and weigh my luggage while Porsche and Ray were very soft-spoken and pleasant when assisting us with the checkout process. Overall, it was a truly comfortable and memorable stay. Highly recommended and we would definitely return.
