This was our first stay at the Ambassador. Check-in was a painful process and took approx. 20mins, which was not expected. albeit we got our room 1 hour earlier than check-in time. We did not realise how big this hotel is, it is massive with 2 different wings, there is some refurbishment works going on @ hotel but caused no issues, there is also building works happening directly across the road from hotel but again, caused no issues, hotel is set back from road. There are a number of massage shops at hotel and restaurants. Hotel is well situated. Standard room was ok, air-con was ok, Wi-Fi was stable, no view from window, bathroom was tiny, plenty hot water. The swimming pool was fine and gets blazing hot sun all day, there is also a large fitness centre. We would definitely recommend the Ambassador hotel and would have no issues staying again

The location is convenient. If you stay in the high-rise building, the back entrance is open from 10:00 to 22:00, which saves you from having to walk all the way around the block. There is also a 7-Eleven directly across from the back entrance, which is very convenient. One important issue I would like to highlight is that the bathroom does not have a handheld shower head. For female guests, especially during menstruation, this can make personal hygiene significantly less convenient. While taking a full shower at night is manageable, during the daytime it is difficult to rinse properly without getting clothes wet, which often means having to take multiple full showers in one day. Without a handheld shower, it is also more difficult to rinse the floor thoroughly. I believe this is something female travelers may want to consider in advance. In 2026, a handheld shower head feels like a basic amenity that many guests would reasonably expect. On the positive side, I appreciate that there is no paid minibar in the refrigerator, so guests can use the space freely for their own items. All hotel staff members were very polite and professional. The checkout process was a bit slow. The hotel does not provide a taxi booking service. Since we had an early morning flight, the staff kindly helped us hail a taxi on the street, but unfortunately taxis were scarce at that hour, and we had to accept the driver’s price. This was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise pleasant stay.

I stayed at Ambassador Hotel Bangkok for 3 nights during my holiday and overall I was quite satisfied. The location is near Nana BTS Station and you can find many restaurants, bars, and street food vendors. However, the food prices around the area are relatively high. Breakfast quite good with a wide variety of menu options, including Asian and Western dishes. Theres a fitness center and a swimming pool available for guests. If you stay on a higher floor, the city view is nice. During my stay, there were quite a lot of Indian guests staying at the hotel as well.

This place is massive and in great location, but needs major makeover. Also staff are not very accommodating except for a select few. I had gotten food poisoning when we fist arrived and sorta made mess of the blanket and linens. Hotel charged me 2k baht to sanitize them which i completely understand, but not once did they ask if i was okay. Really not acceptable. Maids were basically useless. Counted every towel, coffee, creamer.... Bed and pillows are awful and only 1 or 2 english speaking tv channels. Pool is ok for thai standards but felt grimy on floor. Best part was location and price. Will not stay again there
