Amdaend was amazing!!! Ee spent 4 night there while in Bangkok and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was super sweet, very helpful, especially Peter. Super nice guy. We had a room with the view of the river - gorgeous. The balcony was super cute, the room with the bathtub, comfy bed... I wanted to place that had a beautiful decor as opposed to the typical "hotel room feel" and this had that. The aesthetic was on point. If you like priclvacy, note that the bathroom area is only separated by a curtain. But we lo Ed it. The river views. I love that you choose your breakfast the day before -very sustainable. It's a small hotel and felt like home. We also had drinks and snacks at the rooftop cafe - recommended. Everything was great and we will 100% be back to Amdaeng.

Apart from the hotel, if you are looking for a place where time gently dissolves into the night, Hidden Gem Rooftop Bar at Amdaeng by Njoy Prestige Hotel is exactly that place. Perched above the Chao Phraya River, this rooftop offers a truly immersive 360° panoramic view. You can experience the river flowing calmly below, city lights shimmering on the water, and Bangkok’s skyline stretching endlessly into the night. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and quietly glamorous. Once sit down, it becomes effortless to forget how long you have been there; minutes turn into hours without notice, carried away by the view and the gentle rhythm of the river. The seating is comfortable and thoughtfully arranged, allowing to relax without distraction. Soft lighting and tasteful décor create a cozy yet refined mood, making it ideal for a slow evening conversation, quiet reflection, or a romantic night out. The background music deserves special mention. Say, beautifully curated, emotionally touching, and soothing in a way that gently washes away the day’s worries. It does not dominate the space, but instead blends perfectly with the night breeze and river ambience. The drinks here are not just beverages. They are indeed experiences. Highly recommended is the Mango Sticky Rice cocktail, a surprisingly elegant creation that translates a beloved Thai dessert into a smooth, well-balanced drink between sweet, aromatic, and refined without being overpowering. Equally impressive is the Tom Yum cocktail, which is mysterious and inventive, bending endlessly between Thai culinary culture and modern mixology. The familiar herbs and spices emerge softly, creating a layered taste that feels both playful and sophisticated. What I can truly say is Hidden Gem Rooftop Bar lives up to its name in every sense. It is a place to slow down, to breathe, and to simply enjoy being present. Whether you come for the views, the music, or the creative cocktails, you will leave with a sense of calm, quiet joy and already think about your next visit. A true riverside escape above the city. Highly recommended.

This hotel is more style over substance. The low rating is primarily because it claims to be something it is clearly not and charges accordingly. This is not a 4 star hotel and even though most of the staff are lovely the facilities are lacking in quality and functionality. Cons: Average facilities and poor practical design- for example Light switches are incorrectly wired, shower and toilet have glass windows facing the bed with only a thin curtain to provide privacy, poor noise insulation - could hear telephone ringing down at reception constantly and shower being used from above, toilet seat would not stay up which despite being a minor issue it is not what you would expect from a 4* hotel. Mediocre restaurant with limited breakfast and unjustifiably expensive bar. The Swimming pool is not what they advertise it to be, it is most of the times kept covered and looks poorly maintained and likely unsafe, which seems to be a long term problem according to other reviews but this is not mentioned on their website or booking.com. No spare key for room and had to hand in our key to reception to have the room cleaned. Overall the facilities and service do not justify the price, which is on par with other hotels in the area who offer vastly better facilities. Pros: Nice working class area with very friendly local people where you can get a sense of the real Bangkok. This includes a number of very authentic good street food vendors. Nice views of the river, even though constant riverboat cruises passing by can be slightly annoying. Nice decor and an interesting building.

Located right next to the Chao Phraya River, approximately 1.5km (15 minutes) walk from Iconsiam and Iconsiam 1 ferry wharf. Small but quaint hotel. The staff are friendly but upon arrival gave very limited information about the stay, nothing about breakfast service or WI-FI. Room was decent, with all amenities. Just a little dated with patchy paintwork. The rooftop bar (Hidden Gem) was quite good, with a great view overlooking the river and Bangkok cityscape. Food at their restaurant for evening was very good and well priced. There's also a saltwater swimming pool out the front/lobby entrance (8m x 4.5m x 1.1m).

BE AWARE!!! I would like to point out that this review is not intended to discriminate against the staff, but rather to highlight the complete lack of supervision by management. The photos published on Agoda do not reflect reality at all. I planned this trip with my mother for the first time in Asia, and I greatly regretted my choice. The pool: Upon entering, it immediately shows signs of disrepair and dirtiness. Reception says they can remove the protective cover, but the pool is right next to the drainage pumps—unthinkable. Room: The air conditioning installation in the room has not been completed, and the ceiling is a disgraceful display of pipes and concrete. The view from the room is beyond reproach. The staff lacks basic housekeeping knowledge. Towels were not changed but simply folded without knowing which belonged to whom. The toilet doesn't flush properly after at least three flushes. The bed is not made, but only the blanket is pulled up. Restaurant: Breakfast is spartan and limited. We asked for mango on the fruit plate for a week and never received it. The lemon served with tea is the same one sliced and left over from the bar the night before. We were shocked when the lady cleaning the bathrooms tried to help and served us our food with the same gloves. Dinner options are practically nonexistent; 3/4 of the menu is missing. Common areas: There's no lounge on the top floor. At reception, a sign in front of the guest sofa warns guests not to sit there because the mirrors above might fall. On my last night, the chef was away, and I had to order a Subway sandwich—a ridiculous price for the room rate. The hotel is clearly in a state of disrepair; no maintenance has been done. The staff is kind and polite, but they act a bit like they're at home; they're not use uniform, and they sleep on the reception sofas. "The fish always stinks from the head." The manager is obviously never present, and I blame him entirely for the hotel's shortcomings.
