Avani Ratchada Bangkok Hotel

Not a typical Avani This Avani sits right in Bangkok's Central Business District, literally connected to the Rama 9 MRT station—you can't get more convenient than that. This property occupies the same building as Fortune Town IT Mall, which means shopping, dining, and tech stores are just an elevator ride away. I stayed here expecting a typical business hotel, and that's exactly what I got: functional, clean, and strategically positioned for getting around Bangkok. The hotel does its job well enough, though it's clear this isn't a luxury experience despite the four-star rating. What struck me most was the dichotomy—excellent location and genuinely warm staff, but rooms and facilities that feel like they're stuck somewhere between 2010 and 2015. If you're here for business meetings, quick airport access via the Airport Rail Link, or as a base to explore Bangkok's attractions, it works. But if you're expecting modern design and attention to detail, you'll find yourself underwhelmed. My biggest frustration came during the Chinese New Year holiday period when the hotel was absolutely packed with tourists, leading to painfully long elevator waits and crowded common areas that tested my patience daily. LOCATION: This is where AVANI Ratchada absolutely shines. The MRT Rama 9 station is literally at the hotel's doorstep—I mean, you walk out and you're there. Central Plaza Grand Rama 9 is across the street, and Fortune Town IT Mall shares the same building. Getting to Sukhumvit, Siam, or the airport is straightforward. The Airport Rail Link's Makkasan station is nearby, making Suvarnabhumi Airport accessible in about 30 minutes. For business travelers or anyone who wants to avoid Bangkok's notorious traffic, this location is gold. The only downside? You're in a business district, not the tourist heart of Bangkok. DINE + DRINK: Didnt dine or drink here, so cannot comment ROOM: We stayed in Room 2325, which was a ONE BEDROOM SUITE, so this review is based on that; SIZE: VERY Spacious suite with 2 seperate areas - a huge living room and a nice comfy bedroom; VIEW: Sweet view of the Cityscape from huge windows; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Excellent spa quality toiletries by MOLIN+GOETZ Brand FACILITIES: The FITNESS CENTER is one of THE HIGHLIGHTS of the place, and the main reason why i booked here. Fully loaded stellar gym with an amazing range of weights, workout stations, and Cardio machines - all packed into a compact area. They also have an outdoor Swimming pool(pretty crowded!) and also a top-notch spa onsite. There is also a pool table and other recreational facilities. SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. I had an amazing stay in the Executive level at this Avani location. Lounge gave a generous breakfast and evening snacks- aka dinner and cocktails. A very light afternoon tea was also provided . They allow for two pieces of clothing to be washed and I had two dresses returned looking better than when I brought them to Bangkok. The pool and Onsen/ gym was also an added bonus. The room had everything necessary and the bed was the most comfy I’ve had yet in Thailand . Very soft and plush with nice comforter and fluffy towels . Broad and Nammoo were exceptional .

My husband and I live in Germany. I am Thai, and I have already sold my house in Bangkok. Every time I visit Bangkok, I always choose to stay at this hotel because I am a local and I know very well which hotels offer prices that are too low for the quality they provide. This hotel is located right in the heart of Bangkok, with a subway station directly in front, making it extremely convenient to get around. Everything is very close and easy to access. The staff are polite, friendly, and genuinely kind. There is also a black stray cat in front of the hotel (MRT station) that is cared for by the security guard staff, which to me reflects the kindness and compassion of the people here. As for the hotel itself, I can only find one small point to deduct. Out of 100 points, I would give this hotel 99 — truly excellent. The one point deducted is because there is no luggage scale on the ground floor for guests to weigh their suitcases. In 2026, almost all airlines are extremely strict about baggage weight, sometimes even down to a few grams.
