Baiyoke Sky Hotel rises as Thailand's tallest building in Ratchaprasong, and the 83rd-floor bar leverages that height with discipline: floor-to-ceiling windows, no obstruction between you and the city sprawling below. The bar is the real draw; the hotel's restaurant and room inventory serve as scaffolding for that vertical vantage.

There are lots of shopping in this area down this hotel located. Just need to know it is always heavy traffic jam too as there is a renovation near the hotel and one way traffic. It will take a long while(2 years to complete, I hope). Lots of local thai food, I usually have it in a food court (local) usually they provide napkins in their food outlets (likewise Singapore do not provide, buy yourself). The hotel highest 84 levels. There a cool roof top bar. Nice for drink and chill out. There is a quiet a gym room and swimming pool. 81 level is cool for breakfast though also have a outdoror for breakfast too. Services is good from the staffs working in the hotel. Room us big enough spacious.

If you are a light traveller you are better using the mrt as the traffic is always heavy while arriving. It's quite an old hotel but pretty decently maintained and a great pick for someone who likes a comfortable stay in the heart of shopping. My special thanks to the concierge who were super helpful with storage to changing our taxi timings. Kob khun kha 💗 The in house facilities are amazing and prompt. Absolutely thrilled to know that they have in house laundry on the pool floor 😌 saved us a lot of trouble of doing stacks laundry back home. Absolutely loved our room views.

The pros: Location is top tier! You have a market right outside your hotel and many shops right within walking distance. Can't be beat. Also the view is INCREDIBLE! The breakfast they have is also a lot better than your standard continental breakfast. The rooms and bed quality seem pretty good too. Cons: Bad customer service and somewhat deceptive practice. They said me and the other guests would have king beds when I booked but when we arrived they didn't and they had 2 smaller beds that they suggest we just "push the beds together" then we told them we wanted to add breakfast to one of the bookings and they said it's done but then it was a big fiasco at breakfast and they didn't have us added. The pool is good but I wish it was a rooftop pool. You have no views from the pool area.

This was a unique but somewhat confusing experience. I took my wife here for Valentine’s Day, and while we enjoyed parts of it, the process felt like an adventure. The online booking system is not user-friendly, and even now I can’t clearly remember how I managed to book. On the day of the reservation, I strongly recommend arriving at least one hour early. The confirmation email suggests 30–40 minutes, but with traffic, nearby construction, and crowds, that’s not realistic—especially with kids. Once you arrive, you need to collect your buffet ticket first. From there, navigating the tower can be hectic. There are many people waiting around, unclear directions, and multiple elevators. Tickets may be collected on the ground floor or 19th floor, depending on the day. Going up involves tight elevators, long waits, and transfers between elevator sets before reaching the higher floors. Finding the correct buffet floor is another challenge, as there are multiple buffet types on different floors. Once seated, the Chinese and International Buffet was decent. The highlight was the beef steak, which was surprisingly good and easily the best beef I’ve had in Thailand so far. Seating and food areas are tight and crowded, with food reheated at the counters, creating a lot of heat and noise. Restaurant is dated and could use a deep clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited. I was also surprised to see very few foreigners. The city views from the upper floors were excellent and one of the best parts of the experience. The rooftop bar is small and crowded but has a nice atmosphere. We also received free drinks with the buffet, which was a nice bonus. Taking the BTS was convenient; driving here is not recommended. Overall: Good experience, but frustrating at times due to poor organization and navigation. The views are worth it, and the steak stood out, but I’m unsure the buffet alone justifies the price. I’d return mainly for the views and experience, not just the food.

I don’t usually write sub-par reviews, but I feel like I need to manage expectations for anyone considering this spot. To be blunt: I would absolutely not stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to friends or family. While it’s a famous landmark, it feels like the hotel is cutting corners everywhere that matters. The Good • The Staff: Honestly the highlight of the stay. Super friendly and helpful throughout. • Room Size: Our room was large, which suited our needs at the time. If you need space, you’ll get it here. The Bad • Cutting Costs: Everything feels "less than average." Room service is basic at best, and the amenities provided were sparse and underwhelming. You definitely don’t feel like you’re getting a premium experience. • The Location (A Double-Edged Sword): If you love being in the thick of the hustle and bustle with chaos right outside your door, you might like it. However, if you prefer a bit of peace, easy access to taxis without a struggle, and not being constantly hustled the moment you step outside, stay somewhere else. Bottom line: It served a purpose for this trip because of the room size, but for the price and the "experience," there are much better options in Bangkok.
