G Boutique Silom Hotel

I’m ashamed to say I booked this place. The pictures looked decent. It had nice ratings on Hotels.com. I should’ve checked with Google Maps for more real ratings. Checkin: I didn’t have a problem with service. They even let me check in a little early since my room was available. Once I got there, it looked close enough to the pictures, if not a bit more dated. The problem(s): The bathroom was a nightmare. Shower pressure was good enough, however the water temperature was either scalding hot or cold. I could never maneuver the handles for just the right temperature, as there was always a delay in temp changes way after I’d stopped maneuvering the knobs. The really big problem was that the drain was slow and would back up. Imagine having to stand in backed up waste water and praying it doesn’t overflow into the rest of the bathroom. The sink was another problem as it would leak out the bottom onto the counter. All of these problems already made this place a nightmare. I toughed it out until their water shut off for hours one morning without warning. Imagine not having water to shower, wash your face, or flush the toilet. I left while they were still trying to turn their water back on. Never found out when it came back, or if it came back that same day. Stay away from this one. It’s a nightmare.
