Grand Diamond Suites Hotel

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Grand Diamond Suites Hotel in Bangkok. It is advertised as a 4-star hotel, but the condition of the rooms was nowhere near that standard. The first room we were given was frankly disgusting. The carpet was heavily stained and looked very dirty, and the sofa was also covered in stains. The whole room felt very old-fashioned, dated, and generally unclean. While the decor in the photos is somewhat accurate in terms of style, the pictures do not show the actual condition of the room. To their credit, the staff offered to change our room immediately and without any fuss, which suggested they were aware of the issue. Unfortunately, the second room wasn’t much better. Although it didn’t have carpet, it still felt dirty and the sofa was again stained and patchy, which was very off-putting. In the end, the cleanliness and overall condition made us uncomfortable enough that we decided not to stay and moved to another hotel immediately. Based on my experience, this property is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The condition and cleanliness of the rooms were far below what you would expect at that level.

Some of the facilities should be improved bc during the night that I stayed, I asked the hotel receptionist to give me extra towels and stuff but they said I need to pay for it which left me speechless because usually when stay at a hotel, the costs for asking more pillows or towers and stuff like that don’t cost money but here it does. That’s one of the bad things I didn’t like. However, the staffs there, especially the cleaner were really nice and friendly to talk to. Thai people are really generous. The locations can be said great because just as you walk out of the hotel, you can just go to the “Platinum Mall” which is a few steps away or the “Central world” which you go can go to by a few walks. Overall, it is a nice hotel if you are on a budget or doesn’t want to spend lots of money and the food for breakfast is really good (forgot to mention it ;))

Very disappointing experience – avoid this hotel We stayed at Grand Diamond Suites Hotel, Bangkok and had a very unpleasant experience. The rooms feel quite old and poorly maintained, which was already a letdown considering the price. The hotel charges a 2000 baht deposit per room. We had booked 3 rooms and deposited 6000 baht in total. At the time of checkout in the early morning, when we were in a hurry to catch our flight, the staff suddenly accused us of smoking in the room, which is completely false. Based on this accusation, they tried to forfeit 5000 baht as a smoking fine, without any proper proof. To make matters worse, they also tried to fine us for a “missing fork”, which was actually lying on the table in the room. The whole incident felt like a deliberate attempt to take advantage of guests, especially when they are rushing for the airport. The receptionist Mr. Sherrypong seemed very experienced in handling such situations and pressuring guests. This experience left a very bad impression. I would strongly advise travelers to avoid this hotel, especially if you value fair treatment and peace of mind.
