Review of Karaarom Hotel, Bangkok We recently stayed at Karaarom Hotel in Bangkok, following our visit to Tints of Blue Hotel. Both properties are owned by the same owner, and it’s clear they share a similar philosophy of design, hospitality, and atmosphere. Arrival & Atmosphere From the moment we arrived, the experience felt thoughtful and refreshing. We were welcomed with a chilled towel lightly scented with essential oils and a delicious cold cocktail-style juice—an immediate gesture of care that set the tone for our stay. The decor is soothing and elegant, filled with designer furniture that creates a calming effect the moment you step inside. The lighting is soft and carefully considered, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere throughout the property. Rooms The rooms are extremely well curated, with wood featured throughout the interior design. A clever glass-covered shower room provides everything you could possibly need, while a beautiful sofa seating area by the window invites relaxation. The room size felt fair for the cost, balancing comfort and value. A thoughtful in-room touch is the complimentary insulated French press, accompanied by quality ground coffee sachets and two sachets of lovely jasmine tea—perfect for a quiet morning or evening pause. Service & Amenities The staff were full of smiles and catered to our every need—even helping us procure a charming handcrafted ceramic pot from the sister hotel. A bulletin board in the lobby is a thoughtful touch, helping guests adjust their itineraries. The souvenir shop is filled with beautiful items, and the hotel also offers a gym and swimming pool for guests seeking wellness and leisure. Breakfast The standout highlight of Karaarom is undoubtedly the breakfast. Food is delivered to a very good to high standard, with multiple set combinations and the option to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine. A range of hot and cold drinks is available each morning, and one day I was even presented with a tiger in my latte art—a delightful surprise that captured the hotel’s attention to detail. Location The only downside is the location. While easily accessible by taxi, walking to the nearest BTS station (Thong Lo) takes about 10–15 minutes along a busy two-way road with only a narrow safety margin. It felt a little dangerous at times. That said, Karaarom’s near-central location does provide access to many attractions and conveniences once you’re settled. Overall Impression Karaarom is a beautifully designed and carefully considered hotel, run by wonderful people who go above and beyond for their guests. Despite the minor challenge of its walking access, the overall experience is warm, stylish, and memorable—making it a property worth recommending, especially for those who appreciate thoughtful design and heartfelt hospitality. Although this was my first time at Karaarom, I am already considering making a return.

Really enjoyed our stay at Karaarom Hotel and probably the best hotel yet we have ever stayed by far. It has a very nice, calm vibe and feels warm and welcoming from the moment we arrive. The design is beautiful and thoughtful, with carefully curated pieces that give the space real character and a genuine sense of home rather than a typical hotel stay. The staff were extremely friendly and kind, and they speak good English. I was welcomed with a drink and a cold towel upon arrival, which was such a nice touch, made us feel cared and slow down right away. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen that had everything needed, from utensils to pans. I especially appreciated the thoughtful details: body lotion provided, a choice of pillows for better sleep, and even a bolster — something I’ve never experienced in a hotel before, probably the first hotel we have stayed at that provides one. These little touches really show how much attention they put into guest comfort. Breakfast was included. While the selection was small, but appreciate the local selection. It was delicious. It is a cozy, well-designed hotel with genuine hospitality and thoughtful details. Will happily stay here again for our next trip.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Suspicious Stains, Zero Apologies & Manager Grabbed Guest's Hand! This was a nightmare. They charged us a 2,000 THB deposit at check-in, but the entire experience was an absolute scam with horrible management. Severe Hygiene Hazard & Gaslighting: The room was filthy. The grey sofa had very obvious, crusty unidentified white stains that highly resembled bodily fluids. Instead of cleaning it, the staff blatantly lied, claiming the washable sofa cover was just "faded from old age," normalizing this highly suspicious stain. Also, there were no trash bags in the bins, and they simply said, "you have to ask us for them if you want one." Unwanted Physical Contact & PUA: The morning Duty Manager was shockingly unprofessional. When my girlfriend questioned the disgusting stains, this female manager physically grabbed her hand without consent. She held her hand and dismissively told her, "Don't be serious, it's a holiday." Crossing physical boundaries to dismiss a legitimate health concern is a complete violation of personal space. Awful Facilities & Attitude: The location is far from the center, requiring a 10-minute walk in the hot sun to the subway. Soundproofing is zero—we heard people banging on walls and dogs barking all night. Breakfast was a disaster: no plates or cutlery, empty food trays were never refilled, and every staff member gave us dirty looks. Overpriced with Fake Compensation & ZERO Apologies: We paid over $100 USD (approx. 3,500+ THB) per night. When the booking platform coordinated our early checkout, the hotel played dumb. They offered a pathetic 500 THB worth of drinks or souvenirs in exchange for a full day's expensive room rate. Worse, they never proactively contacted us about this offer. When we asked for it at checkout, they denied it entirely, claiming "you didn't ask us for it earlier." From start to finish, they NEVER uttered a single apology. Absolute arrogance and zero respect for guests. Avoid at all costs!
