Khaosan Station

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. We stayed in a private room. No soap, no drinking water, AC barely cooling, worn out sheets and furnitures, no hot water in the shower, the bed cracks like hell and all the noise in the hall is totally in the room. Some man coughs or spits in the shared wc in the hall and you hear it like he’s next to you… I slept only 3 hours in such conditions. Would never stay here again.

My girlfriend and I booked a private room for one night, but unfortunately the bed hadn’t been made or properly cleaned when we arrived. After pointing this out to the receptionist, she appeared overwhelmed and provided a bedsheet that was too small for the bed. The hostel also felt very male-dominated, and some guests made my girlfriend uncomfortable by flirting in a very direct and inappropriate manner. While the location is definitely good, the overall experience did not justify the price, and I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The location is perfect if you want to enjoy the nightlife around Khao San Road while still being far enough away to sleep without too much noise. The overall cleanliness was good. The staff was okay but not particularly warm or engaging. The beds didn’t have curtains, which reduced privacy. There were no lockers for larger luggage, only small ones for personal items. Additionally, there were occasional unpleasant smells that were a bit hard to get used to.
