About

A quiet canalside market on the western side of Bangkok with art workshops, craft stalls, and traditional Thai eateries. Boats along the khlong serve noodle dishes, and the slower pace here contrasts with the city's more commercial markets.

Try to go by evening so that it won't be so hot. From here u can witness the big Buddha. Charges 300thb per person for 40 mins boat ride. Not a great place for shopping. Not a floating market actually only boat ride it's good. There are so many temples across the river banks.

This is one of the better floating markets to visit in the city (though floating is a bit of a misnomer, its just a market alongside the river) as its a bit out of the way and in one of the quieter districts of the city. Tons of great shops (be sure to check out the Artist House) and restaurants long the bank. Easy access with a short walk from the Blue Line.

Khlong Bang Luang is a small, peaceful community filled with charm and a strong sense of traditional Thai identity. There are many activities to enjoy, such as painting, art workshops, and making handmade gift items, which make it a lovely place to slow down and explore. You can also take a boat ride along the canal to enjoy the scenery of traditional wooden houses and the quiet, simple lifestyle of the local community. If you continue along the route, you’ll pass Wat Bang Phai, home to a large and impressive Buddha statue that stands out beautifully. The atmosphere here feels a bit like Amphawa, but much closer to Bangkok. Even though it’s not a floating market, Khlong Bang Luang is a small community area that offers a great opportunity to learn about local culture and experience a calm, authentic side of Thailand

A nice place to relax or take a boat taxi, but you can also walk along the riverside. You can explore an artist house where you can either buy some souvenirs, have some drinks and snacks/food or be creative and paint a picture. Also nice for parents with children. Before entering the market you can also visit a nice temple with a very sympathetic monk at the cashier.
