We stayed at Kinnon Hotel in a double bed dormitory and had a generally good experience. The atmosphere is very peaceful and quiet, which is a real plus if you are looking for a good night's sleep in a busy city like Bangkok. Regarding the service, the staff was helpful and reactive. We encountered an issue with our locker upon arrival, and although it took a few days to get it sorted, the team eventually fixed it for us. However, the location wasn't exactly what we expected. There isn't much to do in the immediate surroundings and the neighborhood felt a bit isolated and lacked local life, which can feel a little uneasy when walking back late at night. On the bright side, there is a small, convenient mall nearby for quick bites and the MRT station is about a 12-minute walk away. It's a solid choice if you prioritize rest over being in the heart of the action.

Beds are comfy, bathrooms are very clean and cleaned frequently. AC is strong and cold. You have to log into the wifi - sometimes multiple times a day. Good coworking space, the cafe wasn’t working/staffed but the restaurant is open. No issue because it’s close to lots of coffee shops etc. Few comfortable social areas for more than a couple of people.

Have stayed at this hostel approximately 6-8 times in the past two years, and always had a lovely stay. Bedrooms are comfortable, clean, and with strong AC. AC is only turned off for 3 hours a day while the staff cleans. Only an inconvenience during the hot Summer months if you’re inside. Staff is friendly. Café downstairs prepares delicious fresh food almost daily with the exception of Saturdays. Lots of co-working guests stay here, so you’ll see plenty of people working around the lobby area during the day.

Negative Reviews
I had a disappointing stay at this hostel due to unprofessional staff behavior and unreasonable policies. The front desk staff was quite rude in their communication style. When I checked in, I was told that washing and drying clothes in the hostel was strictly prohibited. When I asked where I could do laundry, they directed me to a nearby laundromat. I explained that I prefer to hand-wash my undergarments rather than using public washing machines, and mentioned that previous hostels I’ve stayed at allowed guests to hang clothes in their beds area. After some back-and-forth, the staff member agreed but insisted I must keep the curtains closed, saying it would be “disgusting” for others to see. I found this comment unnecessarily harsh and unprofessional, especially since I always maintain privacy with my curtains anyway. Additionally, guests are required to store their shoes in a communal shoe cabinet on the first floor, which has a terrible odor that transferred to my shoes. The common areas on both floors have poor air circulation and unpleasant smells that made me feel nauseous several times during my stay. It’s ironic that a hostel with such poor hygiene standards would impose so many restrictive rules on guests. The combination of rude staff, inflexible policies, and unsanitary conditions made for an unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this hostel to other travelers.
