Very hospitable staff from reception, to pool side, to breakfast - everyone was very attentive, kind and professional. The room was spectacular: very clean, spacious and I was so happy to get a city view. Breakfast was very delicious and it had a great variety - got my day started perfectly! The rooftop pool was just amazing! The price was very good. Would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers and I would love to stay again if I visit Bangkok again. Thank you to the Mercure Bangkok team for making my stay an incredible one!

Summary: An affordable hotel for a short stay in Bangkok that is conveniently located within walking distance to the BTS Phrom Phong station. Location: Several "high end" malls nearby, such as The Emporium and EmQuartier. A wee bit of walking will get you to EmSphere, which I highly recommend for food. Skip the shuttle transport as it's often stuck in jam and would take an hour for something that would be 10 mins of walking Amenities: The lobby has several comfy seats as you wait for your room to be ready. The rooftop pool and bar may be small, but does provide a place to relax should you have an hour or so to burn. The fitness centre unfortunately is a tad too small to be enjoyable. The 7-Eleven just at the entrance provides convenience of snacks and drinks. Room: It feels kind of industrial. I like the open concept with lots of hangers. Space is ample for you to open a large suitcase. The toilet is clean with face/hand/bath towels all provided. Bed is semi firm but the pillow is lacking. Christmas Event: They had several stalls with festive lighting at the open field in front of the entrance. It was nice to sit there to have some snacks. Service: Fantastic. They were accommodating to early check ins and late check outs. I had forgotten some stuff in the room when I checked out, and they were kind enough to hold it for me to retrieve it at the lobby. I appreciated it!

Rates were towards a higher end when I booked the hotel but I had much needed sleep. Staff at the reception were very helpful and welcoming. I really loved the cafe at the entrance. It is truly a travellers hotel located in a well-connected hub. The decor was simplistic yet modern. Soaps were a bit harsh on the skin and toothbrush had very sharp bristles. I couldn't try their restaurant/ bar since I was watching my weight but the menu was tempting. They have a co-working space with interesting books. Would love to stay here again. Nice area.
