About

Metz Pratunam Hotel in Ratchaprasong is a central-business-district hotel offering refined, modern rooms in an alley location near Indra Square. The friendly staff provide great hospitality including welcome drinks and goodbye snacks, creating a hospitable atmosphere throughout guests' stays.

The rooms are slightly small, making unpacking luggage challenging, though they remain clean and well-maintained with good amenities. The convenient location near CBD attractions combined with welcoming staff service makes this a solid choice for business travelers despite modest space.

Had a good experience here, staff are nice and welcoming, got welcome drink and goodbye snacks. However, the hotel location is at alley, so it might be difficult to navigate from Indra Square if you took A3 Bus. Room soundproofing is okay, shower pressure is okay, but the aircon directly aim to the bed make me a bit uncomfortable. Sometimes the cleaning staff skip my room, idk why so I need to ask the front office to clean my room. Breakfast was decent. + Staff are really helpful, they always help me to get online transportation (bc most of the driver cannot speak english) 😂

I had a great experience at Metz Pratunam Hotel. The staff were all very friendly and hospitality is great. Room The room is slightly small and it was difficult to open 2 lugagges at a time but we managed it still. The toilet is seperated - shower area and toilet bowl. Toiletries like shower cap, cotton bud, shower gel and shampoo were given. Not sure if there have toothbrush & toothpaste. There is housekeeping everyday. Location It is a 15 minute walking distance to Platinum Mall. Tofu SkinCare is also near, about 5 minutes. There is a laundromat right beside the hotel, 711, and a few food places. In the night, the place is lively too so i would consider this hotel safe for solo-travellers. Service Breakfast is available everyday. You have to select your meal the day before. There are eggs, pasta, soups. Apart from ordered food, there are also salad, cereal and bread on the side (self-service). You can eat at their dining area at any time if you’ve bought food from outside. You can request for them to heat up your food. Staff were very nice to offer ice water too. Ironing board is available upon request but they only have 1 so you have to leave it outside your room once done and may request to use it again the next day.

Rooms are not soundproof, you can hear the traffic all day and night. The rooms are very small, so unless you have the one in the corner (video is from room 601, the corner one), you’ll feel like living in a shoe box. But the corner room is next to the staff room, so you’ll get the staff speaking loud between them and also making noise with the plastic bags starting 6.30am. And the shower/toilets are in the middle of the room, no privacy if you are several people in the room. I had written a message in advance to ask for a quiet room on the top floor, but the request had not been taken into account when I arrived, which was not a good experience. The staff who did the check in was trying to accommodate and find a solution, I recognize and appreciate their professionalism though :) I had booked to 4 nights, but I left after one night only. They agreed on paying me back thenights I did not stay at their hotel, which was appreciated too. If you are sensitive to noise, if you are travelling with family/friends/partner, I don’t recommend going there. You can find plenty of other hotels with more silence and space in the same neighborhood.

⭐☆☆☆☆ I had a very disappointing experience staying at Metz Hotel Pratunam. From the beginning, the service was far below expectations. One of the male front desk staff was extremely rude and unprofessional in the way he spoke to us, especially as international guests. The most unacceptable experience was being asked to leave the hotel in the middle of the night due to their own failure to clearly explain the maximum number of guests allowed per room. This situation was handled very poorly and caused unnecessary stress. There was also a serious issue with **hidden and inconsistent charges**. Initially, we were informed that the additional person fee was **350 Baht**, but the night before we were forced to leave, we were suddenly charged **4,500 Baht**, which felt unreasonable and misleading. Housekeeping was another problem. We stayed for 3 nights, but on the **first night the room was not cleaned at all**, with the excuse that the housekeeping staff had already gone home. This is unacceptable for a hotel. Breakfast was very basic and disappointing. The mushroom soup was watery and tasteless, the pasta was definitely not al dente, and overall the food quality was poor and bland. The location is also not as convenient as expected. It is quite far from BTS stations and main markets. The closest place is only a 7-Eleven, where many tourists reportedly experience scams, and receipts are in Thai, making it difficult to check purchased items. Overall, this was an unpleasant stay. The way the hotel is managed and how guests are treated—especially tourists—lacks basic hospitality and friendliness. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning. ---

Easily one of the most unpleasant stays I’ve ever had. The first person I met was the bald male receptionist, and his attitude set the tone for everything that went wrong afterward. He was incredibly rude, spoke with a disrespectful tone, and acted like he couldn’t be bothered to do his job. Instead of helping, he made the check-in process uncomfortable and made me feel like I was disturbing him just by asking normal questions. His behavior was completely unprofessional and left a terrible first impression. The service throughout the hotel wasn’t any better. Staff were slow, unresponsive, and seemed uninterested in assisting guests. Every request felt like a struggle. There is clearly no proper training or sense of hospitality in this place. Overall, the experience was frustrating from start to finish. I regret staying here, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. One star feels like the maximum I can give for such an unwelcoming and badly managed property.
