Lovely hotel but location lets it down slightly! Nice spacious rooms, great hotel facilities inc. good gym and nice pool. Breakfast had a great range of options including good vegetarian options and staff all very friendly and helpful. Check in was very busy and a little chaotic but this was not the Hotel's fault. Location is what let's the hotel down as it is on the outskirts of red light district which is not the most Ideal location if coming with family

We heard that this hotel is newly renovated and have an interesting history behind it (later we realized that the history is about the Chicken Rice) We are happy to announce that the history has earned my stamp of approval. The room and amenities might not be the best of a 5-star hotel, but the quality of the food: from the breakfast buffet to the Chicken Rice, is definitely made from high quality ingredients. I would definitely recommend anyone who is visiting Bangkok to at least stay for a night in Montien.
