A coastal-cool treasure trove for those who prefer their home decor with a bit of "salt" and a lot of history. If you’re the type of person who thinks a chipped porcelain plate has more soul than a brand-new one, Oysters and Things is likely your version of paradise. This isn’t your dusty, grandma’s-basement kind of vintage shop; it’s a curated experience that feels like stepping into a well-traveled naturalist’s summer cottage. The shop nails the "Coastal Academic" vibe. Think weathered wood, tarnished silver, and an obsession with natural textures. As the name suggests, there is a heavy lean toward maritime history and malacology (the study of shells), but the "Things" part of their name does a lot of heavy lifting. • The Shell Collection: They don’t just sell shells; they sell cutlery, plates and vintage items. You’ll find oversized conchs, delicate sea glass, and framed botanical prints that look like they were pulled from a 19th-century ledger. • Curated Kitchenware: This is where the "Oyster" part shines. Look for vintage pewter oyster plates, specialized shucking knives with bone handles, and mismatched stoneware that looks perfect on a linen tablecloth. • Found Objects: From brass compasses to antique fishing floats and weathered indigo textiles, the inventory feels intentional rather than cluttered. Most items are in excellent vintage condition. You aren’t digging through junk here; the "hunting" has been done for you by a very discerning eye. It’s a boutique experience, so expect boutique prices. You’re paying for the curation and the fact that you won't find these exact pieces at a big-box retailer. Oysters and Things is perfect for finding a unique housewarming gift or that one "conversation piece" for your bookshelf. It celebrates the beauty of imperfection and the timelessness of the sea.

If you’re looking for a change of pace from the bakeries and coffee shops of Song Wat, Oyster and Things is the ultimate stop for a bit of "organized chaos" and retail therapy. The Experience: A Vintage Treasure Hunt Walking into the shop feels like stepping into a curated attic from a seaside cottage. It’s a dedicated lifestyle and vintage concept store that stands out even in a neighborhood as trendy as Song Wat. • The "Crowd" Factor: Even on a weekday afternoon, the shop can get quite crowded. It’s a small, intimate space, and because there is so much to look at, people tend to linger. • Endless Discovery: Every nook and cranny is packed. You’ll find yourself constantly saying, "Oh, look at this!" as you uncover something new hidden behind a stack of plates or tucked under a vintage lamp. • Interesting to Look At: The visual merchandising is intentional—it’s "clutter" done beautifully. Expect to see a sea-themed aesthetic (lots of shell patterns) mixed with old-world European charm. What’s on Sale? The inventory is a mix of new "lifestyle" goods and genuine vintage finds. It’s the kind of place where you don't know what you need until you see it: • Tableware: Stunning ceramic plates, mismatched bowls, and their signature oyster-shell spoons. • Home Decor: Vintage-style lamps, wooden boxes, and quirky vases. • Knick-knacks: Retro vinyl records, cassette tapes, jewelry, and even scented candles.

This shop sells beautiful bowls, plates, cutlery, and many lovely little items 🫖🍽️✨ The store is amazingly decorated with a fairytale-like atmosphere, and it truly feels like stepping into another world . There are so many gorgeous items to choose from — it’s almost overwhelming in the best way 💖 I couldn’t even decide what to buy! I guess I’ll have to come back again and take my time to explore everything properly 😆
