PAPAYA Studio Thailand's Largest Antique vintage store

we were there looking for a couple of “Flos” lamps… used ones with a budget of 200,000ish THB this place is like almost an hour away from CBD Bangkok it’s hot & humid inside… poor ventilation… cautious if u have allergic rhinitis/allergy humidity & heat are particularly affecting the condition of stuff being on sale here (artifacts/paintings/furniture etc) garden-variety old used stuff u see in yard sale the particular grumpy Thai old man at the cashier was not informative (to be fair, his poor command of English + seemingly stuttering voice) we were simply asking if they have any used Flos Taraxacum 88 / Arco lamps (I handed my phone with the pictures of these lamps) he replied with “we have only what you see” I started laughing apparently at him the papaya compound has left and right buildings (+ the main building is 4-storey) so we were simply expecting either “yes or no” answer coz we don’t want to spend too much time scouting thru the whole buildings possibly the hot humid air or the temperament of this old sordid man instead, we really wanted to donate some money to him to brighten up his day lol we will revisit them again in the year 2027 hoping that they can still keep their business running without this funny old man
