About

A bright, high-ceilinged space in Thonglor/Ekkamai that functions as both café and coworking spot. The coffee is good — notably not acidic — and a small garden at the back keeps it peaceful even when tables fill up.

The differences in ratings just show different perspectives of experiences, not necessarily how this place actually is. Ultimately every experience is subjective. From my simple point of view it offers everything I need - a gorgeous and quiet outdoor space to work from, down a quiet (ish) alleyway, decent coconut cold brew coffee, and friendly staff. Did they ask me how my day’s going? No. Would I call them unfriendly? Not at all. They smiled, asked me what I want to order, I placed the order, all went well. This place could do with more tables and umbrellas outside. But the bench under the banana tree and rain tree + a good cold coffee is all I need.

I really love the scenery here, it’s like a hidden gem in Bangkok, unbelievable to have a green and beautiful garden in the city centre. It’s really a great place to work or meet friends, as it’s quiet and surrounded by trees. Price is reasonable, but very honest: that drink isn’t my style or favourite. There is no food menu, so we only have drinks and some buns.

🌿 Hidden Gem 🍀 A quiet and peaceful place, with high ceilings, spacious and bright. Even when crowded, it's not noisy. The coffee is delicious, not sour at all. They have a lovely garden, and there's a lovely breeze in the evenings. Their neighbors are practically a yoga studio 😎 The cinnamon roll and berry lemon brownie were delicious. They weren't overly sweet. The berry lemon brownie, in particular, had a slightly tart taste, with a hint of a bit salty on the palate, which was exactly to my taste. 🤤 But they have other options too, and they're all very fresh.

I first visited this café when the pandemic had just begun and I was living in Thailand at the time. What left a deep impression on me back then was its beautiful, natural garden — it felt calm, organic, and special. Nearly six years later, I came back hoping to relive that experience, but unfortunately the visit was full of disappointments. First of all, the service was extremely unfriendly. There was no greeting at all when I walked in, nor when I stood right next to the counter to place my order. Honestly, this felt very un-Thai. A simple smile or hello would have made a huge difference. Secondly, the iced tea I ordered was underwhelming. Unlike years ago, it didn’t even come with a tray, let alone any kind of presentation or garnish. To put it into perspective, I once bought a 60-baht coconut smoothie at a floating market and it was still beautifully decorated with flower petals. Here, it was just a plain cup of tea. I’m not being picky — I’m perfectly fine with drinks having no decoration anywhere else. But in a place with such a stunning environment and a carefully built brand image, this lack of effort feels mismatched and disappointing. With a little more thought, this café could easily be taken to the next level. Lastly, the coffee itself was very average. Beautiful environments can be found in many places, and sadly, this café no longer gives me a reason to return.

HONEST REVIEW TO THE CORE Food and beverage: The cafe has a small menu which is good. Beverages are average. I had the Bougainvillea flower ice tea and Tinglang Bar. The tea: Taste: 3/5, Presentation 4/5 Tinglang crumble bar: Taste: 4/5, Presentation:4/5 Staff behaviour and service: The staff is least bothered about the guests. It feels like they're being forced to wear a smile and work there. Not hospitable and not approachable. All of them are cocooned in their small staff kitchen and no one cares to come out. The girl with small haircut is specifically inhospitable. It feels like she's obliging you by providing the beverage. The cafe is instagrammable and great with colour coding. But other than that it's just a regular overhyped instagrammable cafe. Yes the greenery and everything makes it very soothing, but the pond outside is equally dirty. Ew.
