Pillow & Bread

We had a truly wonderful stay and an unforgettable experience. The location is perfect, the ambience is beautiful, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained, and the balcony view at night—surrounded by sky-high buildings—was absolutely breathtaking. The complimentary breakfast was a lovely bonus and very much appreciated. One of the best highlights was the free laundry service, which made our stay even more convenient and comfortable. A heartfelt thank you to Pillow and Bread for making our holiday so special and memorable. We will always cherish these moments. 🌟 Best recommend place for all.

Room was clean but smelled old. Shared bathroom was also clean, good air circulation and plenty of hot water. The pillows were very thin, would be great if they could provide 2 for each person. Staff was kind. Breakfast was all you can eat bread and jam. Free coffee all day. But drinking water was not provided. There was free-to-use washing machine too which was very helpful.

I chose this guest house as I'm working remotely and needed stable internet for meetings. The internet was overall quite good and I didn't have any issues although in the speedtest it was lower than expected. There is a common room with a big table and some smaller tables. The sockets are a bit far away and supposedly it's only open until 20:00 which isn't ideal if you have a late night meeting (but I'm not sure if they lock it). However there is also a desk in the room. Generally the furnishing is simple and seems a bit old but it was clean. The room had an AC and fan, a wardrobe, a small desk lamp, plugs next to the bed and even a small balcony. The bathroom had toilets on one side and shower cabins on the other, with sinks at the end. Apart from a lack of privacy due to the layout there was not enough space to put things like towels or cosmetics by the sink or in the shower. Additionally, there was no toilet paper in the stalls but you had to take it from a big roll outside the bathroom. By the stairs there was a big common fridge you could store food in and a small kitchen downstairs with cutlery etc as well as stuff to make coffee. Washing machines were also available and free. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Other guests were mainly younger foreigners but it seemed to be more of a quiet than a very social space which I didn't mind. There are multiple supermarkets and restaurants in walking distance. Overall it was a good experience, only the bathroom situation and the lack of modern furnishing could be improved for better comfort.
