By any standard, a great restaurant. More than deserves its Michelin Star. A special treat for special occasions. Can't speak to the accommodations, as we only ate here.

My family and I have stayed at Praya Palazzo two times and I hope that we can return. Ice, Rung, Sandra, and all of their staff are extremely kind and hard working making sure your needs are met. The location is amazing, scenery is breathtaking, and truly feels like an oasis within the city. The breakfast is delicious and fresh. They even gave us a parting gift as appreciation for being returning customers. If you are headed to Bangkok please stay at Praya Palazzo!

I stayed one night at Praya Palazzo, on a Friday evening, simply because I was working around Tha Phra Athit and didn’t feel like fighting Bangkok traffic to go home. I wanted a quiet night by the Chao Phraya River—and this place appeared beautifully on my search. The hotel is charming, historic, and well-located near Tha Phra Athit, yet noticeably more reasonably priced than many other riverside hotels. I booked it without knowing much about its background, and that turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. A small practical note: arriving by boat is the most convenient, as the hotel has its own pier. If you come by car, parking is limited and located near Bang Yi Khan Police Station, with space for only a few cars. Planning ahead is recommended. The room itself is not large, but comfortable, calm, and full of character. What truly stood out for me was the service—warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The hospitality here feels personal, not scripted. The Thai food at the hotel is excellent, and the Rom Pho Room on the second floor is absolutely beautiful—elegant, serene, and rich in atmosphere. Every corner of this property is photogenic; the architecture and light make it a dream for anyone who appreciates heritage spaces. Even if you’re not staying overnight, the hotel is well worth visiting for a meal or simply to experience the ambiance. Only later did I learn about the history of this place—once known as Ban Bang Yi Khan, a riverside residence filled with stories of love, family, and refined Thai living, now gracefully reborn as Praya Palazzo. That knowledge made my stay feel even more meaningful. The hotel has also been listed in the Michelin Guide 2026, which comes as no surprise. I am Thai, and I have lived in Bangkok all my life—yet I was genuinely impressed. Praya Palazzo offers something rare: a quiet, soulful escape that allows you to experience the old spirit of Bangkok, right on the timeless Chao Phraya River. Highly recommended for travelers who appreciate history, elegance, and sincere hospitality.
