Prince Palace Hotel Bangkok in Chinatown operates with classical design sensibility—rooms feel less contemporary and more established. The positioning as multi-cuisine capable (Thai restaurants, sushi bar) suggests an older property that's adapted to various traveler preferences rather than defined by single identity. The beer garden adds casual evening dimension beyond typical hotel dining.

Our executive room was quite spacious and the cleaning staff kept it clean during our stay, although the faucet in the washroom kept twisting every time we changed the temperature of the water. Also surprised that there was only one outlet in this large room. The staff from the ground floor to check-in on the 11th floor to breakfast buffet on the 12th were all polite and helpful. The bar/pool/lounge areas on the 11th floor exude a nice level of sophistication. Breakfast included basic Asian and western staples, which was fine for starting the day. The most disappointing thing to note was the exterior, which is filled with textiles and apparel wholesalers. The only way to get around was with the Grab app, which turned out to be crucial in our travels around Bangkok. But all in all, a very good value for our stay.

This is honestly the best hotel I have stayed in. Whoever doesn’t rate it 10/10 is lying. The food is absolutely delicious with so many options. All the staff are so kind and welcoming. The area is perfect for doing all things. The pool is sooo nice and everything is so clean. We had an issue with our sink being clogged and they immediately got it fixed for us and later brought us a hand written apology letter and a fruit tray. Best hotel in Bangkok. Thank you so much for making me and my boyfriends first experience so great we will be back!

We like almost everything about this hotel, the terrace on the 11th floor with a pool, palm trees, live music in the evening and a bar with a restaurant with a great view. Overall, the view from the hotel to night Bangkok is great. The hotel has 2 food stores on the ground floor, ,,7 eleven,, and on the side there is a port on the canal where a boat goes in both directions about every 10-15 minutes. Great atmosphere in the hotel, because it is very big. Unfortunately, the breakfast and coffee are to die for. Lots of food, there is enough of everything, but almost nothing disgusting. You can buy coffee quite well on the corner at the entrance to the port, which is about 30m away from the hotel. Despite the disgusting breakfast, we were there for the second year in a row, because of the great international atmosphere.

The breakfast is the definition of "mass production." While there is plenty of variety, the focus is strictly on quantity rather than quality. Due to the overcrowding of the hotel, there isn't enough staff to supervise the buffet. I witnessed guests picking up food with their hands and children touching food and then putting it back. Everything felt unhygienic. The rooms are quite old and in poor condition. The service is a disaster! We had to wait for over an hour just to check in. Despite having a full staff at the reception desk, they seemed completely unable to handle the workload. During check in, they didn't even tell us the breakfast times or how to find the pool (The hotel consists of four huge towers, depending on the building of your room, it takes quite a while to get to the pool area). After just one day, our key card stopped working. We discovered this at 1 a.m. We were exhausted and just wanted to sleep, but we had to wait in line at the front desk for 40 minutes just to get a replacement key card. Apparently, there aren't enough staff for this huge hotel complex. Room service usually didn't arrive until around 4 p.m., and once it was even 7 p.m.! The location is poor. There is no Skytrain access, and most major attractions are a 45-minute walk away. This hotel is absolutely not worth the money. You can find much better hotels at lower prices elsewhere. Save your money and stay somewhere else!

Let me first start by giving a star for the staff. Absolutely helpful staff and nothing to complain about in regards to them. Although I was kind of being shouted at (or I misinterpreted) when I called in the night for room service. Perhaps I offended someone by calling so late. The person picked up the phone screaming “YES!?” which in any way is obviously not a polite greeting. That said, the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing! Secondly I’ll start in regards to the WiFi. Wow, it is absolutely terrible. Getting a whopping 12mbits down and 9mbits up in 2026 is absolutely ridiculous. It’s not workable at all. Third is the overall vibe of the hotel, sure, as many people pointed out it’s quite dated. But to me it had a certain charm to it. Although the elevators could be renewed, I really liked the old antique looking style of the hotel. The carpets could definitely also be renewed, that really didn’t look nice at all at the room floors. Lastly the rooms itself. I was in a so called “superior” room and the pictures depicted it as being pretty nice. Well let me tell you, it was 2-star (at best!) type of rooms. This is not something to be expected in a 4 star hotel. The beds, boy.. it was as if I was lying on concrete. I’ve had the same beds in a two star room in Crete. Felt like a $10 matras.. not to mention the mold in the bathroom. Again also a very antique looking room, but I didn’t mind that. Furthermore two of the electrical sockets were not working and also the AC made a lot of noise. All with all I think this hotel has great potential if they fix the above issues. But right now it’s a 2 star hotel at best for me (at least in terms of the rooms).. “superior”? Where’s the superiority? Special thanks to the staff though for at least making the stay worthwhile.
