Went here with my family last week. We had our comfortable and relaxing stay. Here’s the good things during my stay: + very welcoming staff + cleaning crew restocks amenities and consumables daily or they would leave a bag of them at your door (if no need for them to enter the room and clean) + As long as the beds make me feel comfortable and get me to sleep soundly, that’s very good 😂 + hotel location is near a train line and other establishments + electronics are working and air conditioning keeps the room cool And here’s the negative points noticed: - limited variation of Thai viands. Knowing that the hotel serves both Thai and Western buffet, it is expected to have more Thai than the Western foods. - poor acoustics, we heard machine sounds from another room or from the hallway - no cover for the door peephole which is a risk of privacy. Overall, it’s a decent hotel. As long as it’s kept clean and sanitary, good foods to eat, and kind staff.

Solid value in a great location. A hidden gem in Ratchathewi. Stayed at Samran Place for 6 nights and found it to be a great value-for-money option in Bangkok. The location is the real winner, it’s about a 5-6 minute walk to the Ratchathewi BTS station, which makes getting around the city incredibly easy. You can even walk to MBK and Platinum Mall in about 15 minutes. A few things to note: there is currently some road/MRT construction outside, so getting a taxi can be a bit slow during rush hour, and there was some street noise even on the higher floors. We also noticed the bathroom water pressure was a bit inconsistent. However, for the price and the excellent service, these were minor trade-offs. The breakfast buffet was decent with both Thai and Western options. What I loved most was that you don't have to go far for a great meal, there are several excellent Thai restaurants and street food vendors right around the corner. It's much more authentic than staying in the middle of a shopping district. Easy walk to Ratchathewi BTS and very close to the canal boat if you want to head toward the Old City. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel itself was decent. But, the food was not great. There was a dead ant in my soup which tasted very soapy and when I showed it to the staff after paying, they didn’t even bother to apologize.

When I visited in late 2025, construction was underway on the Orange Line MRT. The hotel wasn't too far from the BTS, but it was a bit uncomfortable, requiring a detour through a narrow hallway. Thera’s no attractions around the hotel I had a room at the end of the building, but the access to the room was a bit dark and dim, especially since the front of my room was an open space where housekeeping was stored, making it seem a bit unsanitary. The room was quite spacious and clean, and the bathroom was comfortable with good water pressure. The view wasn't great, though, as if it were an abandoned building. Unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn't very cool, but it was still tolerable, especially with the current cool weather. For my next trip, I'll choose a different hotel, at least until the MRT construction is complete.

The restaurant staff were kind and professional, but overall our stay was disappointing. The breakfast buffet lacked variety and was the same every day, although the food itself was good. At the internal restaurant you can only pay in cash Communication was difficult as reception staff spoke little English, and while they smiled, their attitude was not genuinely courteous. Due to a flight delay, we paid for an extra night and breakfast we couldn’t use. Despite our polite request for a small gesture of goodwill, it was declined without real consideration. There was also confusion over breakfast times, which were not clearly explained. There are more central hotels offering better service and a higher level of cleanliness. Unfortunately, while the dining experience was pleasant, the reception service was not up to standard.
