Shama Lakeview Asoke was a very nice stay for me, and especially enjoyed how kind the staff were. P’Art and P’Mew were very thorough and helpful about my reservation and maintenance updates the hotel were planning to do during my stay. They even gave a complimentary early check in! I stayed in a 2-bedroom and was very satisfied with the city view, cleanliness, and quality of the accomodation. This hotel is a 13-15 minute walk from Asok station, and I really liked that the hotel was in an area where there wasn’t a lot of noise (I am a light sleeper). I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Bangkok!

Booking was very convenient, and the check-in process was efficient, though a deposit was required. The room was spacious and well-equipped with all the amenities you could need. The gym was impressively large, offering a wide range of specialised equipment—and even a ping-pong table (unfortunately lost a few games to my girlfriend!). Breakfast, served in partnership with The Breakfast Club, was amazing. The view from the hotel was another highlight. There were a few downsides. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and on our floor there were wooden planks along the corridor. One of the elevators was also out of service due to renovation work. The location itself isn’t ideal, and the sound insulation could be improved; even on the highest floor, we could clearly hear traffic throughout the day. Overall, it was a great stay with excellent value for money. I would recommend this hotel if you plan to take taxis, as walking in the area is not convenient—there are no clear footpaths and the road outside is fairly busy.

Negative Reviews
The maintenance is still going on due to lift replacement and upgrade work. It will go on throughout 2026 from 9 am-6 pm. See attached picture. The hotel does not inform about this before check in. Disturbing high noise is therefore to expect during your stay here - on top of the heavy traffic around the hotel. The only rooms that are okay are Building B High Floor and far from elevators. Tip: Request these rooms for a more pleasant stay. I had to wait after my check in time to get one of those. But it was worth every minute.

Stayed here 17 - 20/02, 18 - 21/04 and 28/04 - 03/05 -25 Hotel in a quieter area, suitable for those who want to do Bangkok 1 - 5 nights and business travelers who want a little quieter but still not far from the airports (about 30 - 40 minutes. Pool on the 7th floor which is open until 00:00 cannot be used after sunset due to mosquitoes. Gym, sauna and hot tub. Breakfast is a voucher that you use in the local restaurants The Coffee Shop or Cool Chili. Recommend The Coffee Shop their Caffe Late is absolutely wonderful. Coll Chili has a buffet but it is not affordable compared to the Coffee Shop. There is a small convenience store in the house. Well-cleaned rooms with washing machine. Balconies that are very small and with air conditioning on the balcony. You can sit but that's it. Terminal 21 is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Train from there to Suvurnabhumi only takes 25 minutes. A big thank you to the male receptionist who helped us look at rooms on 28/04 and to the manager who solved the problem. Pros: Fast check-in & check-out. Good breakfast, the coffee is absolutely wonderful (The Coffee Shop). The pool. Proximity to Terminal 21 The quietness if you room away from the road. Washing machine. Fridge/freezer. Fixed bed. Cons. Small balconies. The elevators have too little capacity in building A. Long waiting times at breakfast and at check-in/check-out. Wanted an extra bed in the room, no extra guest just a bed then costs 14USD/night, completely unreasonable cost to get a bed in the room. The pool area cannot be used after dark, extremely many mosquitoes. Tried to put up a mosquito net and was told by the staff that it was not allowed. They referred to the wind could take the parasol. No wind that evening. Avoid Accommodation facing the lake if you want peace and quiet. Traffic can be heard 24/7 all the way up to the 30th floor!!!

I stayed at Shama Lakeview Asoke twice in January. The apartment itself is comfortable and the location is very convenient, which is why I chose to return for a second stay. However, across both stays, there were several service and communication issues that made the experience stressful, particularly while traveling with children. During the first stay , after checkout we realized that some medicine and bathroom items were missing. We contacted the hotel multiple times and were consistently informed that no items had been found. None of the missing items were recovered During the second stay , due to an unexpected situation where our clothes became water-damaged during travel, we urgently needed to use the laundry service. The bedroom we occupied did not have a laundry rate sheet or laundry bags, so we contacted reception. While bags were provided, we were not informed of the laundry rates, item count, or estimated total cost before the clothes were taken. The rate sheet also does not mention any child-specific pricing, despite a significant portion of the laundry being children’s clothes (including for a 3-year-old). A 50% discount was only explained after the bill was issued. With clearer communication upfront, we would likely have made different choices. Additionally, during checkout from the second stay, we realized an AirPods device was left in the lobby. We immediately informed the hotel and shared a Find My Device location screenshot showing the device was still within the hotel premises. We were specifically informed that the screenshot was not accepted as proof. After several follow-up calls, we were later advised that some items were located, but the AirPods later appeared to have moved to a residential building and were not recovered. Overall, while the property itself is good and suitable for longer stays, clearer communication, more consistent handling of lost-and-found matters, and stronger assistance during urgent situations—especially for families—would significantly improve the guest experience.
