Shanghai Mansion Bangkok

The location of the Shanghai Mansion was perfect for exploring Chinatown. The room was very spacious and decorated to fit the old style Chinese vibe. The Red Rose lounge on the first floor plays live jazz music in the evenings. The staff was also very friendly. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The only thing I would note is that the room did get warm, and the AC was not very powerful. Also, the restroom area of the room had a strong sewage odor.

Brilliant location for a fantastic time in Bangkok in the centre of China Town. The service from check in to check out was first rate. Whilst we stayed there was a private function that we were told about including drums and lion dancers. We were invited to enjoy the spectacle alongside the guests. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a great choice. Our room was very clean and the Maid who was called Smile left us little notes and an elephant made out of a towel on our arrival. We were 15 minutes walk from the river taxi.

We had a wonderful stay at the Shanhai Mansion Hotel. At first we were given a room that was too small and less comfortable for us. We contacted Paula, the manager, and we felt that she was trying to do everything she could to help us. Despite the busy schedule, she managed to find a great solution for us and we got a great room, one of the best, and even a discount voucher for cocktails in the lobby. Many thanks to Paula and all the hotel staff, who were all very pleasant.
